reading some of these comments brought up a situation to mind.

another thing that brought doubt into my mind was when i first became a pioneer... unfortunately... i was talking to one of the most looked up to pioneer sisters in my hall (over zealous, elders wife) one day out in service and she pulled me to the side and wanted to discuss my association with another young sister in the hall.

this young sister was my best friend.

Relationships....

i never posted a big to do about it, but myself and my girlfriend of quite a while ended our relationship rather abruptly not too long ago.

it sucked, but luckily it wasn't really ugly or anything.. .

anywho, ole richierich is back in the dating game.. .

Exactly. Which is why I'm content to do a million first dates.

Tonight's contender was Ashley. Nice girl who is really interested in the industry I work in, who I met while bouncing. Comes from money, and has her own, but all in all a nice girl. We went out for coffee and then walked around downtown Raleigh. Then we went back to my piercing shop, and I showed her some neat things. 24 years old, by the way.

I think I'll give her a second date.

Tommorrow nights contender- Ashleigh. Yeah, I know.

True or False: Watchtower Male Stereotype

i always used to cringe when the watchtower "family" and "youth" books would stereotype men and women into two mutually exclusive categories: "men think while women feel.

"one trait is not better than the other they are just different...," i recall the books went on to say in so many words.

i'm well aware both men and women have excelled in science, etc.

I find myself to be ruled by logic instead of emotion, but I think its more of me as a person than me as a man.

I have no problem saying how I feel, but I seldom let people see me tear up.

I consider myself to be pretty emotional, but I think most people are more intimidated than they are concerned with my show of emotion.

Any hobby machinists or blacksmiths?

i was curious if there are any hobby blacksmiths or machinists on jwd?

for me it's a hobby and part time business and would like to find out if anyone enjoys it as much as i do.

Most of the stuff I make in Titanium is super basic, I'm just able to produce exactly what I want.

This is stuff I made out of SS / Gold wire when I was bored at the piercing shop. Its not really machining so much as following a pattern on a jig, you know? But anywho, I had a friend photograph them because at one time I was thinking of starting a big busines...

Yeah, the andonizer I use is off a computer power supply.

I learned how to work by working surgical stainless steel, but its so much trouble- I can just buy it wholesale for cheap.

Working the titanium is nice- since I'm making it for myself or close friends, I don't mind the trouble.

I just turn up my iPod and lose myself in there.

I manufacture titanium piercing jewelry, mostly captive bead rings, in a variety of gauges and diameters. I have access to an andonizer also in my boss's machine shop, so I can change the titanium to several different colors.

I also make / modify medical tools for my own personal use as a body piercer.

I'm not making what most people are, but its pretty fun...
