    That's too bad!

But my sister tried everything and exhausted all the products on the market. So she decided to do something out of the ordinary- she went to a hypnotist! And as crazy as it might seem- it worked! Also, the woman she went to guaranteed the session or her money back. She said that in about 6 months to a year, she may have to go back for a follow up appointment, or whenever she started feeling the urge again. She said it made her feel ugly to pick up a cigarette and it made her sick to smell the smoke. I hope that helps in some way.

My friend used that to quit smoking. It worked but I'm not sure if it will work that fast. It's a gradual process over a few months. But you will notice that you want less and less as the time goes on. One day she said to me that just smelling smoke made her nauseous, so it worked. Also, it helped her lose weight and stopped any depressive thoughts. It's basically Wellbutrin. Your husband might have to take it for a whole year from the time he starts, just to make sure he doesn't relapse. And it won't hurt you to take it. It's one of the mildest forms of SRI (?) and doctors even prescribe it to pregnant women. Well, good luck.

    Do You Think Pink?

    by prophecor in

why are men petrified of the color pink?

would you, as a man, ever wear anything pink, say a pink polo shirt, with a pair of faded blue jeans?

although a bit out of the ordinary for most men, the artist in me ask, what is it with the very sexist colour of pink?

I use Tylenol sinus relief along with ibuprofen. In about 15 min. it starts working. I go take a hot shower and then drink hot tea. Also, for bad headaches fish oil or flaxseed oil make you think more clearly. Works "pretty" good for me.

DO YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF ASPERGER'S SYNDROME?

    by Terry in

    2. friends

there is a general impression that asperger's syndrome carries with it superior intelligence and a tendency to become very interested in and preoccupied with a particular subject.

most children with asperger's disorder have difficulty interacting with their peers.

they tend to be loners and may display eccentric behaviors.

I don't think I have that. But I do have a touch of social anxiety. I always wonder if everyone's judgeing me or I think they won't like me. I think it's because I was judged by the jw's and they said they didn't like me. So that could be why. Sometimes my nerves stop me from being more social. But most of the time I think I hide it pretty well.

The problem is that when someone tries to be friends with me, I'm fine at first and then I start backing away. I'm trying not to do that because people get the wrong idea and become offended. I think it's a safety mechanism so that people won't ask too many questions. On this forum I can say what I want because I don't see your faces, but in person I'm reserved and I just talk small talk. Although I've never experienced talking to an ex-jw that understands, so I probably will react different when meeting you guys. Sometimes I think just because you've been through alot in life, people think you must be messed up. And I do have my moments, but for the most part I've done as well as I can for myself. I can't turn the clock back and change my childhood, but I can change what I do and how I react to life now. Hopefully, that's what people see.
