As different as night and day.
I was raised into it and not allowed to be my own person. After leaving it, I became the person I was always meant to be.
i believe that most people are what they are----whether they were jws or are exes.
for example, if you were a basically happy go lucky person in the hall, you probably have that same nature now.
conversely, if you were accused of always complaining and being miserable then, you probably still bitch and moan now.

i was never allowed to play sports, because it would be too much association with worldly people.
no skating, dance class, racquet ball, softball, nothing.
in my kingdom hall, only the "spiritually weak" played sports.
I don't think you can be publicly reproved for this though since it is not a disfellowshipping offense. I can see a special needs talk being given about the subject without mentioning the person by name, marking them.
There could have been more to his situation that he was not disclosing to me, but that's the answer I got. Also, after his name was read the talk was about the danger in playing sports. They compared it to being in the Greek Olympics and how the sports had pagan origins.
Two years old is too young to dress themselves. They don't have the coordination to be able to handle such a big job. At that age they are just experimenting on trying to put clothes on, but don't know how to do it yet.
This is what I did to dress my kids. When you wake them up in the morning, before they even really wake up, start dressing them. They will be half asleep still and just lay there as you dress them. By the time you're done dressing them, they will be woke up enough to get up and go to the breakfast table.
Wow- I just read your post that's amazing that she can dress herself, you have one smart cookie!
everyone has their own idiosyncrises, mine is- .
when i get a new book, i'll open it up to the middle of the book and stick my nose in the binding for about ten seconds, and smell how the glue, ink, and fresh paper smell.

I love chocolate, I like vanilla and barbecue sauce. But the thought of putting them together- HAHAHA

If I even said hello to a worldly person, I was given a glare by my parents. Could you tell me your experience with sports?

That's too bad!
But my sister tried everything and exhausted all the products on the market. So she decided to do something out of the ordinary- she went to a hypnotist! And as crazy as it might seem- it worked! Also, the woman she went to guaranteed the session or her money back. She said that in about 6 months to a year, she may have to go back for a follow up appointment, or whenever she started feeling the urge again. She said it made her feel ugly to pick up a cigarette and it made her sick to smell the smoke. I hope that helps in some way.

My friend used that to quit smoking. It worked but I'm not sure if it will work that fast. It's a gradual process over a few months. But you will notice that you want less and less as the time goes on. One day she said to me that just smelling smoke made her nauseous, so it worked. Also, it helped her lose weight and stopped any depressive thoughts. It's basically Wellbutrin. Your husband might have to take it for a whole year from the time he starts, just to make sure he doesn't relapse. And it won't hurt you to take it. It's one of the mildest forms of SRI (?) and doctors even prescribe it to pregnant women. Well, good luck.
why are men petrified of the color pink?
would you, as a man, ever wear anything pink, say a pink polo shirt, with a pair of faded blue jeans?
although a bit out of the ordinary for most men, the artist in me ask, what is it with the very sexist colour of pink?
I like the movie Pretty in Pink!
Avish- nice car!
