by moshe injust what is the cutoff for being approved or disapproved by god?
i can't seem to find that number in the bible, can you?.
i was looking at the jw tract they just distributed about, "the end of false religion is near", and i think that jw's have it all wrong, as usual.

yes, well, britain is part of europe, and europe is going secular pretty fast!
i find that the memetic evolution of our species, occurs with the greatest rapidity in places where the theory of evolution is regarded with the high esteem it deserves. if a lot of people do not believe in evolution in the first place, then they are going to try to keep things the way they have always been, instead of taking responsibility for their minds and growing as humans.
simply put, the cultural niche that the meme of xianity once filled so well, is changing SO fast, that the meme is not adapting fast enough, hence the decline.
also, is not charles darwin appearing on the ten pound note? this should say something about the liberal forces in a country, imho.

my sister had an online relationship with a man from holland (they are now married in the us) anyhow, they would send eachother packages and the coolest things he would send was different foods from there... cookies the us doesn't have, chocolate spread for toast.... this is my first gift exchange since i was a kid, so anyone have some ideas?

um, actually, imho, not much at the level of spiritual/psychological development. i see most people in our culture and society with similar amounts of fear and guilt. just from cultural sources, instead of religious ones.
ever heard of the term "waking sleep"? alseep to "reality", even as they neurotically go about their daily business, serving themselves before others. intelligent apes, surely, but who have not disassociated from their egoic mind.
sans fear & guilt = liberation. liberation = liberalness. not just in the arts, but in everything.

by Fisherman ini feel very offended and distrurbed when i see people covered with tatoos.
some people have tatoos all over their bodies, even on their faces.
there are also tatoo programs on the tlc channel that children can watch without a forewarning before the show comes on.

but I believe that God looks at the 90% that is right with us.
of course! if we can be that enlightened, to understand that negativity is not even worth our time, then any supposed God would have this quality even more.
then again, since we make our Gods in our image, it would stand to reason that you and i, moshe, are more evolved, memetically, than YHWH ever will be.

Big Question
by choosing life ini know there may not be an answer to this question, but i am truly interested in other's views.
i know many are of various beliefs and some do not believe in god at all.. the question is: why does god not stop the suffering?
i watch so many suffer for no reason and no matter how i try to figure it out, i always come back to the fact that a loving parent would not allow their child to suffer needlessly.

totally IP, i agree.
we need to stop blaming God(s) for our problems (suffering), and start blaming ourselves, and start fixing them.
it's funny how so many h saps are blind to the simple fact that *they*, *themselves*, cause personal suffering and alienation, and not other people or spirit forces. and the only way to resolve these things is to grow up. and growing up means acceptance, and the conscious creation of better, smarter lives.
