  How much does an individual copy of WT or Awake! cost?

  i'm not talking about the incalculable cost of wasted lives, etc.. i'm mainly thinking about actual out-of-pocket accounting cost to the wtb&ts.

  raw materials, labor (yes labor, it's not quite free even though some seem to think so), utilities, shipping, etc.. my gut says about $.30 us.

  but i have crunched no numbers nor done any research.. anyone else?.

  i was talking to a baptised friend, and they dont like the idea of me being on here..i told them that ive mentioned it to an elder and that a few know im here,afterall im heeding the warning .

  anyway, i explained to them that we are drawn out by our own desire,its whatever is in our heart....... hmmm did that come across ok???

  so what im saying is yes negative thoughts or comments whatever we are warned against can harm us but its up to us what we listen to and if our heart is right we shall remain in gods love.

  Picked up REVOLVER remastered.....

  just to continue on the beatles thread...... i finally got around to picking up revolver remastered and all i can say is wow......and that is impressive for an album that i have listened to countless times over the years.. i have never tried acid, but the remaster of tomorrow never knows at extremely loud volumes certainly was a "trip".....the horns on got to get you into my life were incredible!!

  i could go down the track list and pick out things that really blew me away.. they did a wonderful job of cleaning up the tape noise and really enhancing the sound of the cd's as well as the packaging and liner notes.

  the first cd releases were disappointing to say the least when it came to the transfer and the liner notes.

  I will go from memory here, not official history. We had no idea in the US, really, that games were being played with the line up of songs on the albums we bought. They were great. Then the "Yesterday and Today" album was released with the "Butcher Cover." The "Butcher Cover" versions were recalled before the general public had the chance to buy very many. This brought out in the open how unhappy the boys were with what Capitol was doing with their music. Not going to go on a lot on this. A good read would be to Wiki the "Butcher Cover."

  I believe the Parlaphone releases came out in the early 80s, maybe before. It was exciting to get the real deal. Before that we had to find British releases that people brought over and sold.
