I am thinking that the resulting mental health and economic problems didn't REALLY start to show until the 90's, and it can be seen by the huge dependence on medications in the congregations (does not minimize the devestation a the time). It is really just starting to build steam. Kind of an "overlapping generation" type thing. It will continue to compound.

Did they understand what death was like for humans? Had they seen another human? Did they understand punishment? Did Jehovah warn them about animals that could communicate with them?

Not sarcastic questions. I had to ask myself that when trying to comprehend what the creator was capable of.

This "keeping on the watch" now for, oh..., 44 years, can be stressful too! I think it was around '66 the big push began. Perpetual waiting, holding off, warning others, it's almost abusive. (Hijacked my own thread)

i have posted about my experience with the cult....so now i find myself in a difficult position.

i have left it alone for many years but i wonder what you guys think.. i faded away from the cult and stopped going for quite a while.
