How about turning to the child and quoting the scripture:
1 Peter 3:15
If, out of respect to the parent, you still want to plant a seed. The parent might catch on to it as well.
When the parent says: "Well I'm ready to make a defense", then invite him/her back without the youngin', and give 'em hell, if that's what you need to do.
Firm believer that it is non of our business to try and undermind a parent.

Does Jehovah hate beards?
by brotherunsure inhas the watchtower ever rationalized their obsession with depilation or claimed there was a biblical basis for banning beards, or is it simply because jehovah's corporation/faithful and discrete slave says so?.

Ok, here we go....
I no longer participate in the JW business. I know that many families have been destroyed, but I know that most have not. And many of those that have not been "destroyed" are better off than where they were coming from.....or, going. Yes, this can be debated.
It is wrong to tell a 10 year old child, in front of her father, that he is misleading or harming her by what he is teaching her. If it is an actual case of physical or sexual abuse, then the police should be called.
You all know this.
It is getting close to the "Danny Hazsard" (sp) approach.

I lean toward the idea that information like that is the responsibility of the parent.
There is certainly an "empowerment" of sorts when a person breaks free from the cult, but that doesn't mean good judgement is thrown out the window.

I have so much spiritual gas from that spolied so called spiritual food over the years...what should I take?
by Joliette ini need to get rid of it.. when i was a kid, the brothers would always get on stage and talk about what an abudant buffet of spiritual food from jehovah's table we will receive.
when i was a kid i use to take everything so literally, so i would imagine a buffet of ham, chicken, macncheese (the most creamy mac n cheese, candy yams, turkey, corn bread).
i used to wish that the brother would finish with the prayer so we could get to old county buffet, so i could get to the literal food.. .

How will the "new earth" be cleaned up ?
by man in black ini remember reading about the after effects of armageddon throughout the years, how the birds and beasts will ,eat their fill of the dead bodies.. pictures in the books and magazines showing how people will be destroyed by fire, weather, and earthquakes.
then reading a real insightful post somewhere on this site which was titled something along the lines of "diary of an armageddon survivor".. but now that i have left this religion, i have never really understood accurately just how the wt society believes that the earth will be cleaned up right after the big a.. when the witnesses were studying with my parents back in the mid 70's the po had the idea that god would somehow use matter/antimatter to clean up all of the bodies.
animals eating them all was another point, and the one where survivors would actually have to go around and bury them all was just totally bizzare to me.. (watch the series band of brothers, episode titled "why we fight" this is where the soldiers find a concentration camp,,,, it is a very frightening thing to watch to believe that god would make rightous survivors spend time doing this in the paradise cleaning up without looking for survivors.

If there is a loving God/Father, and it is going to bring an end to "wickedness", it will be up to that creature how it is done.

What are your late night cravings?
by highdose incurrently mine are: peking duck pancakes, a sexy danish guy ( love those danes) and sleep.
yes thats right, have spent 4 nights without sleep,... the old withdrawal symtoms still banging on don't ya know!.
am currently at the point where smashing plates seems like a very refreshing and appropriate activity.
