  well, i sat thru day 2 of the latest circuit assembly.

  instead of having the co or do re address the "generation" confusion, they had a couple of brothers do a demonstration.

  mocha break out in service, weaker brother mentions he's tired....all of the changes lately, the confusing new understanding of that generation, et al.

  Even if they've heard of Jehovah...it may be difficult for many to leave their family's customs, culture, lose their national loyalty, perhaps leave their significant other because of what they hear and from whom they hear it, about an ancient Hebrew god. They may need more.

  i just got a call from my 'faded' sister who still has the 'pleasure' of having contact with our jw family.. my mother called her and said that she and our dad had their circuit assembly this weekend and apparently a governing body member gave a talk... that seems very odd to me.

  do governing body member usually speak at circuit assemblies?

  maybe it was a branch member?.

  From the talk I heard this last weekend, by the DO, it is obvious that many are "associating" with their disfellowshipped loved ones. They are disobeying the Governing Body/Faithful Slave. It's making the GB nervous.

  Since there is an ongoing "dumbing down" on the literature, I suspect they don't need to have much more than a HS degree. Perhaps that's another reason to keep them anonymous, to keep it from being said that a bunch of home-schoolers or dropouts are responsible for the drivel.

  Sorry to say, I think the folks on the "Writing Committee" are brilliant. They serve a purpose.

  Look for the District Conventions to be big on damage control. Pre emptive discussions, demos, etc. Time is the enemy, the internet, the move from Brooklyn. I believe many are questioning, but can't go anywhere. Family, friends, business interests, networking, support, too much.
