Another wacky BOE letter
by sir82 inhere's part of the text of another boe letter read recently.
i'm going to see if i can get these scanned so someone can post them.in line with the letters to all bodies of elders dated july 1, 1989, august 1, 1995, march 14, 1997, and february 15, 2002, elders should call the legal department regarding any inmate who may have been accused of child maltreatment in the past and who is now associating with the organization, whether he is baptized or not.
(child maltreatment includes physical or sexual abuse.

It's judgment day with mum and dad
by sass_my_frass inwell, it's been brewing for a long time and i was getting ready for it, but i've finally gotten the shun-for-life from my folks.
i was going to visit them in a few months and had arranged to see my non-witness grandparents for a few days too, and invited them along.

I disagree that your mother's letter had a number of cheap shots. Your mother expressed the feelings of most that are long timers in the "faith," that lose a child to "the world." She is obviously very emotional. She cannot help it. It is how we were and are, all programmed.
Your response is a wonderful piece of heart felt writing. It sounds like your folks raised a great kid!
I do not look forward to day when I have to have this conversation with my beloved family. We're talking 4 generations worth, uncles and aunts, etc., etc., etc.
Hope you can keep it together.
