Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"
by sparrowdown inmy thoughts are.
1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.
i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

Yes, I remember the 15 minute break.
And I remember when Lunches at the CA were $.35 and Dinners were $.70. You had to buy tickets. I even remember before tickets. You just paid the coin.

And I remember snow cones.
And I remember deep fried burritos.
And I remember when we would have live piano players for songs between meetings.
And I remember Congregation Servants before the "elder arrangement".
And I remember when they banned smoking, and disfellowshipped the addicts that couldn't give up cigarettes.
And I remember 8 day assemblies. 9AM to 9PM.
And I remember when there were only about 2,000 of the annointed left.
And I remember when they told us that 6,000 years of man's existence ended in the fall of '75.
And I remember when Fred Franz would give talks and a hush would come over the crowds of 60K pllus waiting for the next interpretation of prophecy would be revealed.
And I remember when Fred Franz was going blind, and would recite from memory all the scriptures in his talks.
And I remember every time the "Generation" definition would change.
And I remember when blow jobs were wrong.
And I remember when they weren't wrong.
And I remember when we used to just raise our hands to give answers that we underlined in our Watchtowers, using our voices, and not a microphone.
And I remember when we used microphones with physical wires.
And I remember when we used microphones that didn't need wires.
And I remember 3 day "Circuit Assemblies".
I even remember 4 day "Circuit Assembles".
I remember when you had to put in 100 hours to be a regular pioneer.
I remember "vacation" pioneers.
I remember "back calls".
I remember slopping trays.
I remember "book studies".
I remember Plant sales after District Conventions.
I remember 6 month bible studies.
I remember green bibles.
I remember thinking that my grand parents would never die.
I remember thinking my parents would never die.
I remember thinking I would never graduate High School.
I remember thinking my son would never graduate High School.
I remember thinking i would never die...

Why Is This New Batch of Governing Body Members So Stupid?
by Brokeback Watchtower inwell there are lots of reason for sure, denial, delusion, wishful thinking, ego maniac, infantile understanding of ancient writings, satanophobia, xenophobia, out of touch with reality, limited choices scrapping the bottom of the barrel, and many more.. listen to this ted talk and see if you can pick out something that helps explain why these guys are such ass holes:.
organizations are often run according to the superchicken model, where the value is placed on star employees who outperform others.
and yet, this isnt what drives the most high-achieving teams.

what an interesting find for me
by sowhatnow inim sure to use this the next time i accidentally get sucked into an argument with someone.
im not ever understanding the idea behind any christian religion picking and choosing what they want to believe and follow, then have the nerve to claim they are right, when clearly this is obviously done.
here is a site that shows not only how bloodthirsty and evil the god of the hebrew bible was, but how more ridiculous it is for jws to follow one twisted 'commandment' about eating blood, not only reading it wrong, but then not to do all the other commandments, willingly , do they think they are ancient israelites ?

"Make a list of people you want to meet in the New System!" (New September Watchtower)
by FusionTheism inwatchtower september 2015 study edition, "stand firm in the faith," paragraphs 16 and 17:.
following jesus example, we must read the bible daily, study it, and meditate on what we learn.
along with general bible study, dig into topics about which you may have questions.. you can imitate jesus by meditating on the wonderful promises jehovah has made to you.

Well, if anyone seeing this has had any doubts, I'm sure it will help them see their folly and move toward the loving hand of the "shepherd".

Seems like not too long ago when the WTS had to do the same. Wonder how that has worked for them.
