minimus- yes..this is the first thing i have read thats inaccurate- they just shortened the public talks for the upcoming year..not cancelled them...... if i am wrong..i will leave this board for good if you are.......you leave...how is that for a bet??

this sems a bit extreme....besides betting is not allowed. seems quite likely that the c.o. made a public announcement thereby definately risking his own credibilty just to out minimus....cos lets face it - the c.o. has little else to do except obsess about the effect one little apostate has on a worldwide organization. no offence

Generation - Prep for bigger change?????

this apparent change to the "generation" is pretty major i think.. when we consider all of the changes in understanding (i mean flashes of light!.

the 1995 change extended this old system by detaching the generation from 1914.. then the may 2007 wt qfr detached the gathering of the anointed from 1935.. now the latest change detaches the generation from all mankind except the small group of anointed.. and because of the 1935 detachment this could run for quite sometime.. most r & f jws will embrace this with both hands.

for me that is my greatest concern - millions will not even stop to think that we only had a flash of light about.

what increase would that be then..

almost at the point where those leaving = those coming in.. which would mean by jw thinking that those that have served for a very small period of time will be rewarded with everlasting life...whereas those that have given up due to exhaustion having sacrificed their whole lives will be rewarded with destruction at armageddon.

seems fair

further jw thinking dictates that those that give up deserve destruction because he that endures to the end will be saved and they didn't..

except those that give up are fulfulling another bible statement that says that expectation postponed is making the heart sick

Jonny Wilkinson kicked four penalties and England beat Australia 12-10 on Saturday to reach the semifinal of the Rugby World Cup. In a quarterfinal gripped with tension, Australia's Lote Tuqiri scored the only try. But it was England's powerful forwards who won the game for the defending champion at the Stade Velodrome as they bullied the Wallabies pack into mistakes. After Stirling Mortlock's sixth minute penalty had kicked the Wallabies ahead for an England offside, Wilkinson landed two for England and the 6-3 lead sparked a spell of well-organized and imaginative attacking play by the defending champion. But the flyhalf missed a kick which would have opened a 9-3 lead and was made to pay when the Australians broke through with their first impressive ball handling move of the game in the 32nd minute. Mortlock burst through and Tuqiri went over in the corner for his first try of the championship in his fifth game. Two more penalties by Wilkinson put England 12-10 ahead with 21 minutes to go but a drop goal attempt which would have opened up a five-point gap floated wide. Mortlock missed an enormous 47-meter kick four minutes from the end which would have won the game for the two-time champion but it was only narrowly wide.

yes, as far as jehovahs witnesses are concerned, apostates are evil, wicked, faithless liars.. i was wanting to ask - assuming most if not all who come here are in the jw category of apostate, how do you feel about the fact that you are portrayed in such a light by the org?.

i will be the first to admit - i always thought that those who criticized the org were untruthful or exaggerating.

its not until now i have considered what you guys have to say and how you feel that i realize that what you have to say is all truthful (tinged with a bit of anger perhaps).. personally i think its verging on character assassination.
