I can't say for certain that 100% won't go back, but I can say with 100% certainty that I will never go back.
i don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.
i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.
a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

the recent troll nananana (whatever) is helpful to show non jw's the real jw mentality and what will be required should one join up.
develop a nasty intolerant attitude to all who are not involved in the cult, hope and pray for all their deaths, call all who have left (even those who have been physically or sexually abused) 'mentally diseased' and so on.. the rare jw discussions i have with my jw these days, even he is disgusted by the trolls attitudes and how they give jah a bad name.
don't the trolls think of that when they post?!
Agreed. And having such trolls and/or apologists is rather cathartic for some here.
how to good-bye depression: if you constrict anus 100 times everyday.
malarkey?
or effective way?.
I think the real cure for depression here is reading this book, not it's recommendations...
lol
anyone remember a post shy of a year ago by '20571pnt428571' that said "the end is here?".
it's been almost a year and we're still here.
the human population is getting bigger.
eh, nevermind
before the mentally diseased apostates could get their hands on and dissect any information regarding the convention that hadn't been released to regular publishers/elders...the society released the district program on the official site completely and utterly slaying every single demented apostate on the face of the earth.
now have fun dissecting it kiddos, while we big kids get a taste of solid, spiritual meet this summer.
continue drowning in misery while god's people go on rejoicing and enduring these last days.

or agnostics too.
are you open about your beliefs (or lack thereof i should say)?
when people talk about anything religious, do you mention that you don't believe in god?
Or agnostics too. Are you open about your beliefs (or lack thereof I should say)?
My beliefs about many things have changed throughout my life and will continue to do so methinks.
When people talk about anything religious, do you mention that you don't believe in God?
No. But if asked I would profess and if pressed would digress. Perhaps to excess.
I find it hard to tell people unless I know them really well. I seem to always get the response "What? You don't believe in God?" Then they never look at me the same way...
I don't get such reactions. Perhaps it's because I don't advertise my beliefs in everyday life. Perhaps it's the people I'm around. Probably both.
If I were to get such a reaction from someone, it wouldn't bother me. And if they look at me differently because of it, that tells me a lot about the kind of person they are.
"Ok Dad, I get it. I get what it is to be a sacrificial lamb and I promise I won't ever toss yours in the bushes ever again. You know you really gotta lay off the sauce a bit. Can we just get on with founding a nation and multiple worldwide religions please?"
