If you take the person out of the equation, does god still exist?
PS The thread is progressing nicely it seems. Still reading but thus was me first thought
life come from the living, and this is a universe of life.
his teachings are truth.
which is why i weight it against the truth of the teachings (and one other thing that i will get to).

No James, she is not here. But you are..
James, like anyone she's insulted here gives a rat's a$$, lol. I'm sure you'll get over your lil crush one day. After all, there's plenty of nutjobs to relate to in the world, lmao
Well, I was looking forward to hearing Tec's evidence of gawd, beyond personal belief or possibilities, as it was inferred she could continue the discussion if so desired. Haven't seen anything since. Something concrete or irrefutable beyond a reasonable doubt would be convincing.
What Low-Key said
N.drew - enough, deleted.
Thank you.
but isn't it lovely to see yet another thread reduced to wibble and N.Drew's woes?
Sad to see another thread tank b/c of this.
i spent sunday with a number of ex-jw's in a very pleasant get-together.
we all discussed the usual things, of course.. one thing i always notice.
how much of the "flavor" of god remains in one form or another.. with ex-jw's the distaste for religion is the strongest without necessarily including distaste for "belief".. religion is the package and god is the contents, you might say.. but-wait, there's more!.
Fascinating...
Haven't you ever been away from the forum and cringed at how opinionated we can all be? And then it hits you how it's like residual jw behavior traits.
No, can't say I have. And though such traits are easily attributed to the jw experience, they are by no means exclusive to it.
I normalize this with opinionated (and more often than not, ignorant) people I've known in my life, the majority being outside the jw world. Most people don't take well to having their core values and beliefs challenged, never mind overturned as is typically the case of the xjw. Besides, everything I see here, I've seen outside in varying degrees for different reasons.
I guess I expect strong opinion here; after all, it goes with the territory. No biggee.
i know i don't post much or anything, but i have nothing to do at work (i use the term "work" loosely; no one really does anything in radio.
) and i spend hours a shift reading everything.
i don't know if i'll ever get my boyfriend out of the jws or if i'll even be with him in a few years, but all the stuff you guys post totally solidifies my stance on never getting into this religion.
