  I read that in Scientific American. A little sidebar thing but I recall it saying there were traces of it in modern DNA samples. Kinda freaky actually. Must resist urge to derail, must resist...

  Agreed.

  It is clear that evolution is what it is. The question may be what is god with this in mind.

  Earlier I had said "creationist first cause" where I should've said "theistic". It may just be semantics but terms are important.

  Either way, it implies a willful hand to put things in motion. Whether or not it's aware of it's own handedness and "loves" you is a another question and one more relevant to the topic.

  I get a drift from Sulla that says prior to humans developing higher brain functions and the concept of mind, we were just animals with no free will and thus not qualified for an afterlife or god's love, in a nutshell. I guess that answers the question, do dogs go to heaven? Perhaps in a few million years...

  Some interesting ideas here, worthy of some pondering.

  Over 95% of life forms that have ever lived have gone extinct, they got thrown on the scrapheap of failed designs.

  All extinct life was successful in that it initally replaced something "inferior", something less suited to survive, less adaptable. Failed in that either they were replaced by a newer model or simply died out completely for one reason or another. Are humans really taller now than even a hundred years ago?

  Adaptation doesn't have an ultimate "design" and seems incongruent with any sort of creationist first cause. Like god didn't know...

  I do agree on the whole.

  The Question you have been waiting for.....!

  somebody you think you know well enough to trust writes you a big check.. the check bounces.. they don't exactly apologize, but, give a plausible explanation.. they then write you another check on a different account.. since you believe them very trustworthy you accept it graciously.. .

  on the strength of their reputation and assurances you deposit the check in your own account.. from there you proceed to pay for various necessities, mortgage payment, insurance and childcare expenses.. the check bounces again!.

  your checks, consquently, also bounce!.

  we need to unite on this one.

  all of us know names of elders and others inside the tower who are child molesters in different parts of the world..... now that we have some allied out there in cyberspace i would like us to make the most of it.... everyone who knows names and addresses to pedophiles inside the tower...now is the time to act!

  Are you affiliated with any groups or organizations or at the very least, a lawyer?

  I'm not a lawyer or familiar with the law and legal ramifications but I'd sooner respond to a a legit (and legal) request than an anonymous internet poster

  This is an honorable thing to do, but keep in mind, to have solid facts to go along wit accussations, that way you can steer away from creatin' legal problems for yourself

  Never mind yourselves, I hope you realize that if you botch this, the WTS will use it for full effect for decades and your good intentions will pave the road to hell for many more.

  And if someone wants to sue me for that – go ahead I am right here

  That may happen. And who are you exactly?

  Most of the credible activists here are known by name and have a history of their actions outside this DB.

  Don't get me wrong, I'm with the idea of ferreting out the bad and protecting the good. It's the method here that sets off alarms.

  Why get "personal" when discussing a topic?

  trading insults happens among kids all the time.. intellectual development hasn't progressed to the point where they can present contrary ideas and opinions with persuasive appeal to reasons, facts and logic.. "i know you are; but what am i?".

  "your momma's so fat....".

  so, they fall back on childish mocking, provocation and personal attack.. as we grow older and have more education and sophistication our minds should mature---or so you'd think!.

  Ignoring those who disagree with you is sometimes a more mature position than a fight.

  Sometimes known as the high road, it's also the path of least resistance. Not a bad thing when ego isn't a factor. Or when you don't give the proverbial rat's ass. .
