has anyone ever thought to send a copy of rutherford's letter to hitler & declaration of facts to the holocaust museum in washington, d.c.?
they have and entire section dedicated to the jehovah's witness in that museum.
i would hate for tourists to visit the museum and not get the whole story.. i would also assume there are jw displays at other holocaust museums around the world.
Leolaia nif nif hummmm
Uh, say what?
some avatars and screen names are pretty self explanatory, but some...i can't figure out.
i just wanted to know why you chose your particular screen name and/or avatar.
mine is easy enough.
My avatar is from M.C. Escher's Three Spheres
The imagination and perspective in his art tickles me brain
My name was my online gaming handle around the time I joined. I preferred first person shooter games, aka "twitch" games

He looks like a psychotic accountant.
Which he was, come to think of it...
i can't personally say that i do believe or the even the bible for that matter, but i can't see how someone could believe this.
you don't live the way you are supposed to live and believe in jesus, etc for like 70-80 years, but you have to suffer forever and ever for stuff you did during one short lifetime.i was doing some looking on google and one guy made a bunch of good points against the idea of hell and one being why would god resurrect the righteous from heaven and especiall hell then just throw them back in?
what do you guys think?.
No
But I've felt a bit of heaven and hell now and then. Seen a bit of it out and about as well.
Were I to think I'll live forever in some form, it might seem reasonable to believe in either or both.
As some sort of accounting for deeds done or not done
But I don't and it doesn't
i can't stop playing skyrim.
how did this happen?
i was never into this stuff before and never thought i would be.
Company of Heroes 2 is coming out early next year. Might pre-order a copy of that one
The best was capturing a Nebelwerfer battery or Flak 88 and sending some SS steel back to the Fatherland, lmao
my 97 year old grandmother died last week.
she was actually born and raised a jw.
her mother (my great grandmother) was a russelite.
Sorry to hear of the loss. I tend to agree with the opinion that it's not a wasted life. There was some good to be had and a price to pay for it, as with anything.
The older I get, the less judgmental I want to be; it's one of the traits I learned well in my youth. There'll always be somebody who judges you or them and it's a train I have no more desire to ride.
i really do not understand how any can be athiests from thinking real hard about it.
how can you think everything on this earth just happened?.
from my understanding, to be athiest, this is pretty much how it goes.
Appeal to authority and suspension of disbelief
It's like peanut butter and chocolate
'course one doesn't need the bible literally
perhaps even figuratively
perhaps one doesn't need the bible at all
or any derivatives of it's ideas
there's more than one path to the watering hole
and others have found these, were one to consider a broader spectrum
'course, I might be wrong
but I don't think so

You make the mistake of expecting Atheism to provide an answer for everything . . . only religion can do that. Atheism is not some sort of alternative faith . . . there are many unanswered questions. Atheism simply rejects religions' answers to those questions . . . hence the name.
Eloquent and sublime.
