Similarities between Roman Catholics and Jehovah`s Witnesses
by smiddy inboth claim to be the sole path to god (or did at some point ).
both claim to reach back to first century christians ,( though jw`s are a bit ambiguous about this).
the r.c church has a pope , the j.w.`s have a governing body ,both providing spiritual food to the faithful.

The wise admit that they know nothing
by yadda yadda 2 inwhen asked who was the wisest man, socrates said, "i know one thing, that i know nothing".. i can definitely say that what i thought was immutable truth 25 years ago is not what i now believe.
the older i get, the less certain i am of what is definitely true.. ageing and life experience teaches us in the end that we really know nothing.
life is very humbling.. do you agree with socrates?.

This thread is still going? What can possibly be the argument here?
None really. It's just offense to an opinion and a judgement made. Fuck it and the Middle Age piety behind it.
Move along, nothing to see here ;)

Why I Follow Conspiracy Theories
by metatron inconspiracy theories have become a new hobby of mine - although that doesn't mean i put any great faith in any of them.
nevertheless, i see certain reasons for considering them.
1) because conspiracies are how the world is run, in fact.

I have no respect for such arguments or their judgements based in ignorance and religious delusion

Survey: Who here is an atheist? Who here still believes in God?
by Christ Alone ini just wanted to take a survey.
let's not let this get into the same old same old debate of atheism vs belief.
just respond with "atheist" or "believer" or "maybe god exists".

However, I think atheists aren't being completely objective about the posibility that their ideology can and is being used by elites as a form of social and biological control
I have no doubt there are players in the political arena. Whether this is a threat or progress may be matter of opinion.
It may be noted that theist idealogy has been used as a form of control at high levels throughout history and cultures to a far greater degree than any atheistic "belief" structure. A mere sampling of history may support the supposition.
Control in some form or another has and continues to be a fact of life. Pick a flavour ;)
Your poser subversive stylings are pedantic yet imaginative. The National Enquirer is looking for talent like yours.
