Are you more amazed by nature documentaries NOW, or were they better when "God did it"??
Now, by far. Less magic involved but the same fundamental questions.

my question is since it looks as though mammoths were alive after the flood and we know elephants are then how much food was needed to feed just these four animals for the time they were on the ark.
also was the ark, 500 feet long, big enough to hold the amount of food needed for just these 4 animals.. .
.
What's an elphant?
so last night i was talking to my sister about how i admired president obama's speech to the u.n that happened earlier that day.. i then compared the extremism of isis to how much of a fanatic my jw bil is.. at the end of the statement , my mom walked in to the kitchen.
she was standing in the living room and she heard everything i said.. she called the elders that night to tell them what i said so they can counsel me.. i'm going to meet with them after the meeting on sunday!.
what do i do?!!!!!.
You're only in trouble if they have power over you and that is something you choose to give or not.
They don't want what's best for you, they want what's best for them.
All hard choices are risk assessments; what could be gained vs lost and of what value will the outcome be vis a vis, what do I want in my life?

It's like sticking your hand in between a hungry lion and a steak and wondering why your hand is missing.
lmao
i've just glanced out my window and i saw the most picturesque countryside.
i do believe we're entering autumn.
so summer has had its day and like an old friend slipped away and we moves on...how do you feel about entering autumn?.
I like the pretty colors
actually it turns out that we are neither.. this is one of 7 myths about your brain that are debunked in the following short science alert video.. ....
butmy right side of the brain is under- trained, I find it awkward to hammer in a nail swinging the hammer left handed.
Likely because you're right handed
according to plato, the universe thrives on its own, dies and gets rebornall on its own and within itself.
the wise symbolized this concept in ouroboros, a serpent eating its own tail.
[even more wonderful is the marvel called a fruit-bearing treeit does not even eat its own fruit, but simply subsists on mostly what we may consider as dirt/refuse; and trees collectively perform yet another marvel of photosynthesis that make use of our wastes and give us oxygen, food, water, shelter, fiber..........................................[http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/20/opinion/to-save-the-planet-dont-plant-trees.html?_r=0].
lordy...
so we went to calgary zoo today and i'm torn between zoo's being great for conservation vs using animals to make money.
i think on the whole they are a good thing but it's sad to see some of the animals caged up - somehow i always end up staring into the eyes of a gorilla and it makes me sad.. but that isn't what struck me ... it's these things:.

You can't deny the little guys the chance to see live wild animals up close. Zoos are more and more performing a conservation role which is good, but as with Simon, I leave a zoo visit in a sad frame of mind.
Agreed.
I recall when it was exciting to visit the zoo and see what I only saw pictures of or read about. I remember some images well and with a smile.
Later, I saw animals that were bored and institutionalized, not "born free" as it were, and it seemed a lesser tragedy.
One of life's many paradoxes.

A point if you will; reading peoples opinions/beliefs doesn't entail you to believe their viewpoint. It's your choice to read and take offense, to give it credit and engage. If you take offense at every belief/opinion that opposes yours, you'll never be at peace cos there'll always be another opinion. And of course this is only my opinion, take or leave it; I don't really care ;)
As for Plato, some interesting classical philosophy but much has been learned since then
"stay alive till '75.
" remember that?
note: this is the year 5774 not 2014. why didn't they tell you that in 5735 (1975 ad?
Man, that is some funny shite. So out of the box there isn't a box to be seen. This kind of belief isn't due to drugs (and I should know) this takes work and dedication. Kudos to you John for the craziest theory I've read here in a long time.
But seriously, get some help.
