can someone give me the pdf or epub link to:.
the orwellian world of jehovah's witnesses .
thanks.
The library is where I acquired this read, and Barbara Harrison's book as well. But who goes to the library anymore?
I purchased Ray Franz's book from Amazon and gave it away.
can someone give me the pdf or epub link to:.
the orwellian world of jehovah's witnesses .
thanks.
I recall this was one of the first I read on the subject. It's title grabbed me and I read 1984 and Animal Farm again soon after.
Good read
forgive me for indulging in a goodbye but it would feel wrong not to,.
i hope the discussions and atmosphere here do not change for it is a bubbling brew of doubt, bravery and sincere hunger for answers.
these are healthy ingrediants for humans and especially for a jehovah's witness.. this forum offers not just the ability to ask without consequence, but it also offers the means to be real.
I've always enjoyed your posts and thoughts. Sorry to see you go. Best wishes and travel well sir.
scroll down slowly (spoiler space below) so that the great god's plan is only progressively revealed to you:.
now, i ask you in all honesty - what could be clearer than the above?.
god's plan clearly jumps out of the illustration, doesn't it?.
I don't see the Pleides star cluster in there anywhere. I guess that light didn't shine immediately...
i am not talking about posters here on this board ( otherwise i wouldn't be here would i) but in general.. si i am talking those ex j.ws in my community and we just dont get on.
well ok its a bit of an exaggeration to say i don't get on with them, we just dont associate.
this botherd me at first as i thought we would have much in common, but it wasn't so, and it's just the way it is.
Well said Billy
my thread was inspired by gentledawn's insightful comment about the effect the events in wales had on her jw husband.... hope any lurkers out there can filter out the signal (storys and experiences like this) to noise (the current trolls running amok on the forums) ratios.
this the problem with those who focus on outrageous fantasies about the watchtower.
it distracts from the real issues that need to be highlighted.. what happened in wales was for real.
I rather like a bit of gonzo journalism from time to time, some left field creative writing. Keeps things interesting as long as it's not taken seriously. To each their own.
Any serious disturbers of the public peace usually get removed like so much cat litter in due course anyways.
yay for me!.
please take a minute to visit my blog and leave your comments: benpogge.blogspot.com.
have a good one!.
Good to hear :)
most people here have never met you.
we converse, discuss, argue, laugh, agree, question, share our lives..... quite often, you kind of get to know what a person is like.
some people, we tend to gravitate to and others, we shy away from.. how do you think you come across to other people?
I don't really have a tic
..specifically, the suffering of animals.
you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.
i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.
