So Smart you become an idiot.
by Sparkplug inhave you ever known people that are quite genius?
they amaze you with the intelligence they have and yet in everyday life they just do not have the brainpower that god gave a goose.
i married two of these type of people and i always had to wonder how things like the universe, god, science and quantum physics can be spoken with ease...and yet the simple things absolutely escape them.

How about a bowl of my cold salsa topped by saltine crackers that I keep in the fridge? I have no clue why they taste better cold, but I woke up this morning and thought...Hey Salsa with chilled crackers sounds fabulous as a soup.
I guess that is a UNIQUE prize? You want some?
Can you box it up and mail it to me? Salsa soap? Hmmm...I do love salsa...
and thanks (I think) for the unique comment!
You think?...c'mom Decki, look at your photograhy!!! And I'm sure the list goes on.... Well I have to get some work done, so you have a Great Day Decki, always love talking to you! Your Friend Mike

Funny how we can have so many traits and yet it makes us not unique because of the millions of people there are so many that have each of these trait. I think that is what makes us identifiable. But maybe it is like DNA. Nobody has these same traits combined the way we do.
Can you see where this goose got her intelligence?
Decki, you are Definitely Unique and don't let anyone tell you differant! Got That?!!! If I guess right as to "where this goose got her intelligence" do I get a prize?... Mike

That's Mr "C", Charlie the chicken, our rooster.
Glad to see you found me first before I was riddled with guilt for not getting in touch faster
. If you are talking about me, I'm very happy I could help, even in a little way.
Is it not amazing how the Social people are usually attracted to the intellectual people? I know I am. Half the time I don't "get" them...but it does not stop me from admiring them. lol
I'm not attracted to either group, I just like people on an individual bases, I don't care who/what they are.
BTW...If you are truly of the one class, then that beautiful wife of yours must be amazing!
The only class I belong to, is, the Smart/Dumb A$$ class...lol...and yes if you really knew me, you would know just how Amazing my wife really is to put
outup with me. 27 yrs with me, how does she do it, women are simply amazing, and deserve a hell of a lot more respect in my opinon. Your Friend

GG/BG & OFG Sitting in a Tree.....
by OpenFireGlass inwhere the hell have i been?
ummmmmmmm... i've been in love!.
it's been so long i don't even know where to begin...... well... i guess it all began here at jwd... the beauty of it all, it that this is not a dating website, and the very fact that i was falling in love with a person whom i had no idea of her physical appearance... i was falling for her inner beauty and strenght to leave everything she knew to be happy, to live life.... i had finally met a person who understood me, and i could relate to her stories.... i had met my new best friend, but didn't know it yet... things progressed..... we emailed (which later led to unsolicited photos from her).... then exchanged phone numbers, etc..... then before i know it she had convinced me to purchace an airplaine ticket to meet her.

Here's an excerpt from an article "Bibles are only Milk"
By Richard AnthonySome interesting thought's on anything that's copyrighted particularly bible's.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"To be copyrightable, a derivative work must be different enough from the original to be regarded as a 'new work' or must contain a substantial amount of new material. Making minor changes or additions of little substance to a pre-existing work will not qualify the work as a new version for copyright purposes." --The Derivative Copyright Law (partial).
Did you read that? In order for a bible to be copyrighted, it must be "substantially different" from the original texts!
No wonder there are so many different doctrines going around today. No wonder there are so many contradictions in bibles! No wonder copyrighted bibles are so different from one another and say completely different things! They must be substantially different from one another in order to be copyrighted! Dear reader, the copyrighted bible you have in your possession is not the Holy Scripture, it is a translation which is substantially different from the scripture!Copyright:
"The legal protection given to authors and artists to prevent reproduction of their work without their consent. The owner of a copyright has the exclusive right to print, reprint, publish, copy and sell the material covered by the copyright." The New Standard Encyclopedia, volume 3, page 565.First of all, who is the "owner" of God's Word? Well obviously, the one who created it; God. Certainly, not mere man. So how can any man copyright God's Word? The answer is he can't and he doesn't, because man can only copyright "their own words," and not the words of another. Therefore, copyrighted bibles contain the words of man and not the words of God.
Secondly, did you know if you quote from, or copy from, or preach from, one of these copyrighted bibles, without the written permission of the "author" of that work, did you know you can be fined, imprisoned, and penalized for doing so? In other words, whoever owns the copyright to a bible is preventing you from repeating what is contained in that bible! Does mere man have the authority to prevent someone from sharing God's Word with others? No, he doesn't. But since copyrighted bibles contain the words of men, only some man's personal interpretation of the words of God, they can prevent others from using "their" bibles.
And think about this, if you have to get the bible "author's" permission, then obviously this work is "created" by some man who believes he himself is the "author" of this bible. He is basically saying, "Before you can preach God's Word, you must go through me and ask my permission!" This is basically what copyrighted bibles demand!
Look at any copyrighted bible for proof of this. Here is the copyright notice to the New International Version
(the NIV Bible - © Copyright 1973, 1978, 1984):The NIV text may be quoted in any form (written, visual, electronic or audio), up to and inclusive of five hundred (500) verses without express written permission of the publisher, providing the verses do not amount to a complete book of the Bible nor do the verses quoted account for twenty-five percent (25%) or more of the total text of the work in which they are quoted.
How serious of an offense can copyright infringement be? According to the Copyright Law itself, from Title 17, Chapter 12, of the U.S.Code, Section 1204, the criminal offenses and penalties of someone who violates a copyright shall be fined not more than $500,000 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or both, for the first offense; and shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned for not more than 10 years, or both, for any subsequent offense.
The United States Public Domain and Copyright Rules state:
"Works first published before January 1, 1923 with proper copyright notice entered the public domain no later than 75 years from the date copyright was first secured. Hence, all works whose copyrights were secured before 1923 are now in the public domain".
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What that last quote seems to be saying is any copyright 75 yrs old or older are in the public domain and can be used any way you want, so going back 75 yrs from 2007 we come to 1932.
All copyrighted works before 1932 are in the public domain.
Now those works from 1932 to date have restrictions as to their use.
What it looks like the WTS is doing with Vero/eBay and co/do's is that the org. is having the co/do's contacting eBay and saying the seller's of WTS material are infringing their copyright's
Ebay doesn't investigate the claim, they just shut down your auction for that item.Then you the seller on ebay, have to get permission from the copyright holder, and you know what their answer will be.
Anyway, there able to shut down anyone, no questions asked.

More thoughts on Satan the Devil
by lovelylil inthe other day, we were discussing whether satan is a real person (fallen angel) or just the personification of evil.
i was trying to see people's thoughts on this topic because many christians i know claim satan is not real.
even clergy today teach this.

Because I don't believe he is acting like a "swine", like you said. some who name call and insinuate that we are stupid, dellusional, etc. you may consider to be acting like swine, meaning they really do not want an anwer but want to argue. I do not get that impression from Sir. I beleive that he, like many who leave cults like the Witnesses are struggling to make sense of God. And that his experience with them unfortunatley has colored his view of all people who speak about God. I don't blame anyone for feeling this way. I think their feelings are totally legitimate and understandable. And Sir has asked legitimate questions.
Now I didn't name name's...and like you said not my word's or something like that... And I agree with what you said above. I was speaking more the point of argueing, watching you all going back and forth ect. Spiritual matters can't be understood by looking at them at face value. It takes prayer and meditation. It's like I tell my kid's "you know what's right, do it" and that's treating other's like you want to be treated and don't mess with their stuff/property. And be responsible for your actions. So it doesen't matter who you are, or what you are, for us all to get along. Whether were right or wrong in our individual beliefs, one day, we will know...or not. I believe you're on the right path Lovelylil. Acadian

1 Corinthians 2:10-15 (New Living Translation) 10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.
14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.Looking good Lovelylil
Lovelylil you might find studying the story/parable of the prodigal son and relating it to the genesis account enlightening.
As you study the prodigal son, think of the story of Adam & Eve, put in a garden then removed from a garden to live a hard life
outside the garden and then they die.Learn how the story of Adam & Eve and the history of mankind, all relate to the story of the prodigal son.
The story of the prodigal son has clues to our condition before being kicked out of the garden.
(where were from and where were going...)
When you understand the prodigal son you'll understand why suffering is not God's fault and why all suffering is allowed.Remember Lovelylil... people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. And that's why Jesus said not to cast your pearls before swine, they get trampled. just as is being done to you.
Many Blessings
