  Witnesses headquarters refused an Associated Press request to interview an expert on blood beliefs.
  Instead, General Counsel Philip Brumley issued a prepared statement rejecting Louderback-Wood's "analysis and conclusions" in general.

  What ever happened to defending your faith, their nothing more than smoke and mirrors.

  They need a lawyer to speak for them, that's because they really don't believe what they teach, so they use lawyers to protect them instead of God, where's their faith...hmmm!

  Christian discussion

  would it be possible to have a section of this board for discussion from a christian prospective?

  many people who leave jws or are thinking about leaving, would like to maintain the title and way of life as a christian, and it would be nice if there was a place here for them to discuss topics of interest and doctrinal issues with others who also want to be christians, without annoying those who no longer beleive in god or have taken an agnostic stand.

  i think it might serve to atract more lurkers if they knew that they could post thoughts and concerns, to others who could offer encouragement from a christian prospective.

  It's funny, I'm 50 years old, and I still haven't met a follower of the "Way" that Jesus taught. I've met plenty of Christians though.

  for years google's company motto has been "don't be evil".. for years they would ask "is this evil?

  " before implementing a new business plan or venture.

  now, all the the sudden, they have decided to renege on this promise!

  I went to the island a JW, left a simi Rasta, ( I don't believe in the religion, just the use of the sacrement...

  Went to the KH, went out in service, that was a little differant (inside), then I met the rastas,
  
  and next thing ya know, I'm hanging out with them, and going places no white boy should go, had a great time and made some great friends, I still stay in touch with my rasta brothers, and if all goes well I hope to go back this summer.

  What's your view of the bible?

  ok' the bible is full of errors and inconsistencies some will say, so does this make the bible nul and void?.

  some verses are still very clear, like thy shall not steal, or thy shall not commit adultery or fornication... .

  some will think that if you find a few errors or inconsistencies in the bible, then it's not trustworthy anymore, so scrap the whole book.

  I take the 10% that's good, and throw the other 90% in the garbage.

  There is truth in the bible for thoughs who can see it, to other's it's just another book, full of contraditions and fairytales.

  often when i speak with people about religion, they are christians.

  i will get into discussions and mention items of truth about their history and ask them what they think of it.

  more so then not, they have canned answers of "that is only part of the story" or "the person who said that was not a christian.

  Hello All,

  I have no religion, so I have no problem if someone speaks negative about it, now I do have a Way of life I live, That is based on principles that are higher than most religions teach.

  I would hope any here who were JW's or anyone else for that matter would listen to anything someone had to say, just to make sure I'm/your not getting suck in again to another life sucking organization.

  Prostitution and Marijuana

  i feel that as a country we waste so much time and money fighting prostitution and marijuana use.

  not that i think these things are something everyone should use, but the fact that we make these illegal and yet other things happen that are the same thing, or worse.

  for example, in nevada, outside the city limits, it is legal for prostitution.
