I was bullied around the same age by an older girl who lived up my street. My mother had a good talk with her mother (don't know what she said though). Anyways, it worked. I knew the girl wanted to beat me up afterwards, but it was clear she was spooked by her parents 'cause she never did it to me again.

Bullies
by Nancy Drake inhi ya'll.. i'm looking for advice on how to handle a neighborhood child that is bullying my son and other children in my apartment complex.
he is very mean, takes my son's stuff, tries to trip him on his bike by putting a stick into his spokes, pulling his underwear up, cussing at him.
at first i tried to talk to him nicely, asked him to please not do mean things to other children.

Are the Demons Really Everywhere?
by professor inour witness family was obsessed with demonism.. at a very early age, i was introduced to strange stories of demonism.
a brother in the congregation had brought home a souvenier doll from a tropical island as a gift for his daughter.
the daughter would talk about how the doll would come to life, but the stories were dismissed and attributed to the child's imagination.

A JW ex-friend of mine got himself into a real panic about the deeeemons one night. He lived alone across the road from me, and one time (about 2am) he started banging on my door. Anyway, he woke the whole house up. I asked him what was wrong that he was here at that time of night/morning. He said that he had been reading in bed and that a stack of cd's by his bed started flying across the room and crashing into the walls. I let him stay the night in the spare room. Next morning I went with him to see his place and sure enough the cd's were everywhere, scattered to the four corners of his room. However, I knew (and I'm sure that he knew I knew) that he'd simply got the heeby-jeeby's and didn't want to spend the night alone. Awww. They're a delusional bunch, have you believe anything.

I think it's awesome. Go kitty. If their persecution complex is greater than their ability to see reason then they clearly have hearts of stone. F them. Those with the right heart condition will take notice.

Can't get this out of my system
by cheeseman indoes anyone else here feel that that they are kinda obsessed with all this god/satan malarky?
i mean, i've reached a point where i believe the bible is just a storybook, however, the fact i was lied to all that time by the wts just makes my blood boil.
i feel like screaming.

Does anyone else here feel that that they are kinda obsessed with all this God/Satan malarky? I mean, I've reached a point where I believe the bible is just a storybook, however, the fact I was lied to all that time by the WTS just makes my blood boil. I feel like screaming. I think about exposing all the lies and hypocrisy of the WTS day and night, over and over, until it completely takes over my life. I want to find every error that exists in the bible. I feel I have nothing better to do than to arm myself with as much info as possible to shoot down the dubs who come to my door. Does this sound obsessive?
I want to enjoy life, but I feel as if I have some kind of mega-mission. I hope these feeling pass, as I can't do anything at the moment except think about it all the time. It's ruining my enjoyment of life.
Does anyone else feel like this?

The real question is... Has the quality of "apostates" gone up?
I'd have to say we are becoming diluted. As time goes on, armageddon waits forever, more and more average minded ones will see through the organisation and join our ranks. (I should know...I don't have much in the brains dept. but even I can see through them!)Sorry 'bout the bad news.

I hear ya NeonMad. Shifting the topic from a few minor points of error to shaking the foundations of the organisation will probably have more effect. However, I might try to find 2 or 3 of the best contradictions I can though, just for extra backup in my arsenal. Any beauties come to mind?

Thanks AlmostAtheist for the NWT link. I've checked them out and they seem ok. Maybe these aren't the best examples but I still think any reasonable person would view them as contradictions. To not do so would be to blind oneself. If they want to deceive themselves then I suppose nothing I show them will penetrate the closed mind.

Why not confront them instead with a list of the Watchtower's false prophecies?
