  I have decided to sit down and talk with a JW any advice?

  i know i just made one post, but i have another.. after the conversation with my bf tonight, i finally gave in and said i would sit down with a jw.

  i don't beleive the bs for one moment.

  i don't see the point in doing this, but if it will make my bf happy i'm willing to do it.

  Speculation and the WTBTS

  who of us can remember the wts saying from the platform that we should'nt speculate about jehovahs wts purpose and what he or they intend.. what was this about and why?

  seeing this is the 5th anniversary of jwd, i was curious as to how many who still post here, were dyed in the wool jws, but later sucumbed to "the truth about the truth" .

  were an active/semi-active jw, and this site and others were enough to convince you that your doubts had substance.

  This is somewhat true, in the case of blood. More and more blood fractions are falling under the category of "conscience matters."

  i have been studying the bible seriously since my teens, about 15+ years.

  then it hit me about 6 months ago, i?m not really studying the bible, but rather the wt publications.

  TheListener, that is one of my main problems, losing my family. I come from a large one, many silblings, half of which are already out. My mom is always making comments about how distressed she is that half of her children will die when the end comes. That is where most of my guilt is.

  Sorry Ben, but your post proves the point many of us are trying to make. As a JW you are steered away from secular writings and told to trust only what the WBTS writes. Wanting to learn the truth is not a matter of ego. Must humans have a built in want to learn and this is what drives us to learn and dig for the truth.

  I was born into the "truth", so it is pretty much to only life I have known. I have been studying the bible seriously since my teens, about 15+ years. Then it hit me about 6 months ago, I?m not really studying the bible, but rather the WT publications. This has reveled to me many inconsistencies within the organization, from blood down to 1914. Something else I really have a problem is the importance put on works. It has come down to the amount of hours spent in service each month is a litmus test as to your spirituality. I am now considered weak or inactive and doing a fade.
