  I can't read the WT and AWAKE anymore

  hundreds of supplementary publications written by unnamed authors that can hide behind the watchtower and bible tract society and say anything without referencing it.

  lately, i have been thinking that this is one of the reasons that the society does not encourage higher education.

  try handing in an essay without your name on it, try not referencing your essay, try having no works cited, try to have only 1 works cited, try quoting out of context, try spewing statistics or numbers or trends in your essay with no reference or date, add ellipsis that only alert your instructor to the potential of hidden information, or try presenting as support for your thesis a third party quote.

  That one is to easy!! I would have to equate the not wearing of beards, hourly FS requirements to the high priest way back when washing above the elbows before every meal. Just a tad going beyond what is written.

  here are the 2 stories i said i would post.

  in both cases i was closely involved with the ones that were disfellowshiped.

  the stories are similar but with different outcomes.

  The stories are common and I have heard and seen a million times. Most JC's are designed, not to help the person, but see if they step in line. Most actions in cases are conditional and have some kind of action attached to them. I had a friend that got in "trouble" and was publicly reproved. But he was told, if he did not show on the night the announcement was made, he would be DF'd the following week. Long story short, they are exercises to see how much power is still held over the individual.

  The point is, there are 27,000 people dead. Most of them would still be walking this earth today if not for the Iraq war.

  Very true and I agree with you. But how many lives were saved? How many mass graves were prevented from being filled?

  It was him that pushed congress, telling them that there was evidence of wmd.

  Sorry, but not really accurate. Most of the "evidence" came from the CIA, the Clinton administration, and the Senate Intelligence Committee. The Senate Intelligence Committee gave the most damning evidence, like the "mobile chemical labs", ect......and that interestingly enough was chaired by Rockefeller, when of the leading Democrats in Congress, and has been VERY quiet.

  i feel that so many wrongs of the wtbs have been outed especially with the internet age...such as u.n. scandal, child abuse scandal, wrongful dfing, etc.

  does anyone here find it strange that we can not find 1 person to out them on the money, their holdings, their spending?

  where does all that money go, where is it kept, who has control over it?

  Haunted Hall

  was it just me, or did anyone else experience unsettling, wierd vibes inside a kingdom hall?

  it used to creep me out, it felt almost eerie and spooky inside.

  sometimes we opened the doors on saturday afternoon to clean, and it was all dark and sinister inside when we entered, and it almost felt like something was in there, not good vibes, either.
