I haven't seen the movie yet. But, I am annoyed they made Bumblebee a Camero instead of VW Bug.

oh, and I was high school validictorian and a National Merit Scholarship Finalist (1580 on my SATs). I still remember how hard the guidance counselor laughed when my mom told them that "we weren't sure if silent is going to college or not". She thought my mom was joking.

hi juni, you still look good today :-). I was fortunate enough to graduate high school during that brief period in the 90's (94-98) when college was okay, so I got to go. I'm finishing my doctorate this summer. But, I hear all the stories here, and realize how lucky I am. Anyhow, I still feel that I am awkward socially because of my JW upbringing.

at the blue cross arena in rochester, ny, they used to call the main hallway "Desperation Alley". It was where all the young single teenagers hung out, trying to hook-up.

Online relationships - do they work?JWD is it a hotbed of cybernaughtiness?
by Crumpet inhas anybody here had a successful online relationship that translated into a real life relationship?.
would you consider having an online relationship if you haven't before?
what appeals in terms of online as opposed to real life?.

yes. I meant my fiance online. ironically, her office was 5 blocks down the street from mine for several years. It can work. There are way more guys online then women, so your odds are good. Unfortunately, the goods are sometimes odd. :-(.

Guess what... someone hit my parked Mini Cooper AGAIN. :S
by Elsewhere inback in july of 2006 someone hit my parked mini cooper in a parking lot and then tried to say it was my fault... even though i wasn't even in the car.

after laughing at the other driver, their insurance paid for my repairs.

my mom sent one in back in the 60's. It actually got published. It was about th scriptural view of putting sick or terminally injured animals to sleep (we live on a farm, and the issue comes up from time to time). I believe that jehober approves. -silent

onacruise, thanks for the article. that comparision between keeping the sabbath and what JWs were asked to do is sickeningly flimsy. Keeping the Sabbath was actually beneficial (advanced hygine instructions mostly). Not like facing prison or execution for some silly doctrine. danny, my grandfather uses the same phrase "mealy-mouth", even to describe many WT articles, which he said could often be condensed to about 2 or 3 paragraphs to get the same point across.
