my grammy has just been put to rest, and already my parents and my s/i/l have said this to me.

they know i'm feeling sad, and missing my grammy, and they say, "she's going to be resurrected you know, be happy for her.

Thanx, Legolas..you know, it's not even the fact that I'll lose my family. My one brother,( whose wife made me angry today) and I rarely see each other anyways, and my other brother and I are very close, and always will be. I'm not sure how my parents would react, probably on again, off again, I'm sure, even though I've never turned my back on my father when he was DF'd twice!! I've been df'd before, and I vowed, that the organization would NEVER wield that kind of power over me again. I remember the feelings of guilt, and feeling like pond-scum...how inconsistent my mom was, talking to me one minute, shunning me the next. It was crazy.

I keep my mouth shut, I suppose, to make things easy for all involved. But it's taking it's toll.

Garybuss has often said that he treats JWs as he would the mentally ill. There's no reasoning with them, and trying to do so may have negative consequences for you. Parakeet....this is so true!! Thankyou for telling me this.

Tell them you had a dream that you and your grandmother was in, and she kept asking you about 1914/1918/1975, the WTS involvement with the UN, and why the "love of the greater number has cooled off". Then Fred Franz came into the dream and kept repeating until you woke up, "if I just had a chance to do it over again." Delilah ask the family, "what do you think that dream meant?"

Fullofdoubtnow...thanks for your thoughts...I wish my family were out of the borg.. but alas!! it's only my youngest brother and I that are "out", and he DA'd himself. My parents still talk to him, they always will, he's the baby...My Grammy, although a die-hard Jw, NEVER turned her back on any of us....others in my family would do well to follow her example!!

Thanks everyone for your responses...today was a shitty day. I had lunch with the evil s/i/l, who is a "good" little dub, (lmao) She proceeded to bring EVERYTHING up again, ( long, sordid story, one I will tell later) which my brother, her husband, told her NOT to do, and I came home so depressed, my hubby called from work, and I cried my eyes out....I will not have lunch with her ever again. I have not missed her nasty, evil, negativity at all. She has a black heart, and I do not like to be around her. She brings everyone around her down. And she's got the "truth"?? Why isn't she "happy" then?

I can't understand why the Witnesses think that the entire World is evil

in their black and white world, the jw's think that everything that isn't jw is evil.. every day, i visit my dad at a nursing home, a place where dying people go, and i see so many good people, many volunteers, helping out the sick and dying.

witnesses may preach and know their bible better than the average person.

but i prefer people who don't know their bible as well, but have a heart and donate to the poor or help the sick and have compassion.. maybe one day when the average age of witnesses will be higher, maybe they will start to understand that there is more than preaching.

They need the world to be evil, and in dire need of improvement, to justify their activities. They say that the most important work they do is the preaching work, and claim that god's kingdom is the answer to mankind's woes. Thet use that to justify not giving to charity, helping the sick etc.

This is so true....it also helps to control the masses, with "fear"....don't leave the protective shield of the organization, and go out into the evil old world, ruled by satan....

Feeling bad for doing normal things - SLIGHT ADULT CONTENT

i was reading the article in the nov awake about musterbation (not a typo, i just hate that word & have to rephrase it)!!.

it took me back to the days as a young man who had normal feelings of a sexual nature.

new in the truth and fighting, with every fibre of my being, (at least in the beginning) against the idea of having a ham shank.

people are basically 'mind punished' for participating in the normal things of life. Its a real shame. Because generations are growing up with feelings of low self-worth, depression & anxiety, when they should be enjoying the best days of their lives.

Normal things are viewed as "worldly" and selfish, and you're so right! They do have a grip on every aspect of a young Christian's life!! I'll bet there isn't a person on this forum who never masterbated, male or female, who never felt absolutely guilt-ridden about it each time.That's part of growing up for heaven's sake, and they make a person feel as though they've committed the ultimate, unforgivable sin...I grew tired of feeling unworthy, that everything I did, was not good enough.The more that I did, the more I needed to do. More, more, more!!!The best days of my life were being slowly whittled away inside that damned kingdumb hell, and in a car ,going door to door.

We were not allowed to enjoy the normal things in childhood, and my children, by god, are enjoying anything they want !! (within reason, of course) They play sports and have lots of friends, they go to parties, and are having the time of their lives, instead of rotting away in a KH. They are planning to go to university after highschool, and that's more opportunity than I ever had. end rant....

My Grammy has just been put to rest, and already my parents and my s/i/l have said this to me. They know I'm feeling sad, and missing my Grammy, and they say, "She's going to be resurrected you know, be happy for her. You KNOW it's the truth". I'm to the point where I think I will tell them, once and for all, how I truly feel about this religion, and be done with it. My husband does not want me to do it.

He thinks I should just leave well enough alone, and ignore them all. I've kept my mouth shut for some 8 years now, as I'm faded. I do not relish the thought of being df'd a third time, but I am growing weary of their bullying. Why is it, they can say as they believe, but the rest of us, who do not believe as they do, are made to feel stupid?! I feel like I cannot express myself to them, without the fear of them running to report me to their frigging elders, as an apostate. That's exactly what they'd do too. I no longer believe as they do, and they'd definitely think I was a dreaded "apostate"....

looking at the different ways my sister and i approach life, i'd decided people are either peaches or they're lobsters.

my sister is all tough and crusty on the outside.

you'd never know if something is bothering her.

hello all, missed you all lots.. thought id pop on and update you, well bubs has missed both of her due dates, im as big as a whale and looking forward to having it all over.

i go into hosp today for my last app where i will be booked in for inducement, seeings tho she doesnt want to make her appearance at all.. ive been in and out of hosp with health problems, and those braxton hicks well they hurt like hell and made me think i was in labour more than once.

but at least i get a date today which should be in the next few days i will be holding my baby girl.. hope you are all well.

Es, you look positively radiant...I've been thinking of you, wondering how things were going?! I'm so glad you "checked in" to let us know how you are. Keep your chin up. Two of my three babies had to be induced....and the third, who didn't, took his sweet time arriving....AND, he was supposed to be a girl, the ultra sounds (3) said he was a she....were we ever surprised!!!!! Good thing we didn't paint the room pink...lol...take care sweetie, and send pics, when she's born...
