  whilst a jw, one thing that was evident to me was the constant gossip and backbiting.....being nice to someones face and then talking about them behind there backs.were you ever a "victim" of this sort of behaviour???

  is it as common as i suspect from cong.

  I think anyone who was ever a witness, was, at one time or another, the subject of gossip.

  As a matter of fact, when my son was born a month early, everyone at the hall gossipped that I was pregnant before I got married. What do they know??!! What did I care?? They were soon off gossipping about someone else when they tired of me. They're good for that.

  When my husband was df'd for smoking, a rumor went round that he had an affair on me. Nothing could have been further from the truth, but my grandma had to ask me if it was true. I laughed my ass off.

  should prostitution be legalized?

  think of all the unprotected prostitutes in the world.

  if their profession were legalized, they might have access to retirement plans, medical insurance, regular health exams that would protect not only the girl but the client also.

  courts and society have traditionally held the body as something sacred that should not be sold, but are people not selling their bodies when they make pornos or pose for pictures or make movies or any such things?

  ask the broke MARRIED guys how much their getting laid! Most women are buysexual. If you want to get sexual with them, you have to buy them something.

  Uh, Mr. Dorktacular, sir......( interesting name, btw...) This may be the case in some instances, but certainly not my husband's......I just may be the exception to this rule...however I think there just may be loads of women who are like me....loving and "GIVING" in our relationship with our mates.

  I want nothing in exchange for a good ol' romp on the mattress.....

  I know exactly how to please a woman, women just don't know how to be pleased. ;-)

  i normally come on here, and am strong and very vocal in me distain for the borg and all the things it entailed.

  just feeling a bit sad for myself tonight and wanted to tell my friends.. my birthday was yesterday.

  I took notes as a teenager......only because I found it hard to concentrate otherwise.

  When I became a parent, I spent most of the time in the mother's room. and I'd turn the volume waaaay down low, so as not to disturb my sleeping babies.

  oh, i was pissed off beyond words.. i am leaving, though it looked like i might not for a bit.. we got a big trip planned to the north shore of lake superior where we have rented a geodesic dome cabin, and i was getting the aposta-truck checked and serviced for the long long drive.

  i got the platform on the back, built my steel folding ramp, sweet setup so i can take my scoot and have a modicum of freedom and self respect.. all is good until they start the oil change.. i had extensive diagnostic work done at a garage i had trusted and they had said my cooling system was not losing pressure, they took like two days to do these tests.

  i figures it must be the radiator cap or the overflow that was doing it.. the oil change guys, who were not the one's who did my diagnostics, found my oil to be like a milkshake!

  Have a great time Dave. Lake Superior is gorgeous, but be careful. Storms whip up in an instant and she can be very dangerous. Looking forward to the pics.

  i'm off work today with a late summer cold.

  i hurt all over in places i never knew existed.

  i'm looking across the fields at trees that are just beginning to turn color, but my soul finds no delight in the view.. ah...but tomorrow comes.

  Cheer up!!

  I hope you are feeling much better after reading all these get well posts. Mary makes the best chicken noodle soup ever when I am sick....she loads it with lots of fresh garlic.....if that don't cure the illness, then nothing will.

  I made a huge pot of turkey soup yesterday for my sick boys and they are feeling better today.

  I hope you feel better soon. Take good care, drink plenty of liquids, hot soup, honey and fresh squeezed lemon in your tea will help too. ( a nice hot toddy will help also))

  It's interesting to see these JW's come on here, read and interact with us. They know they are not supposed to be here...then they have guilty feelings about it, so they have to spew their evil JW crap at us. I wonder if they think it cleanses them to do so?

  Perhaps Donna should run, not walk, quickly to her elder body, and tell them of her sins, in being here, then have them reprove her, publicly even....maybe then she'll feel totally clean, after having been amongst Satan's spawn.

  ......unless of course, Donna is just another troll.

  Learning a "lesson" from my 3 yr old daughter...

  so here i was watching diego with my 3 year old daughter sierra.

  when the show came on they were talking about three-toed sloth being in trouble and needs to be rescued.

  for some reason i thought they were saying "floth".. anyway diego says "say sloth...say sloth"...i said "floth"....my daughter turns around and says " nooooo mom, it's "floth"...(hmmm, that's what i said.
