Would You Trust A JW To Be Honest More Than The Average Person?
by minimus ini know many very honest jws.
if i had someone do work for me, clean my home, etc.----i'd generally be more at ease with a faithful jw over most others.
in the matter of housekeeping, i'd think that they might be nosier but i doubt they'd outrightly steal from me.. what's your thought on this subject?.

I'll tell you a story of a dishonest witness family. He works for a construction company. His entire home is furnished with furniture taken from model homes that are on his site. He has never got caught.
He'll purchase an item from Home Depot, to do a home repair, then take it back and get his money back....every time!
He will buy Tim Horton's coffee for everyone in his crew, and when it's "roll -up- the- rim- to- win" time, he rolls up every rim on the coffees before he gives them to his crew.
He had an affair when he was an elder, with another elder's wife, and only, just "stepped down", and moved to another city.
Every time his wife goes visiting, she leaves with something....and when you go visit, you see it sitting in her house.
I could go on....so, would I trust a JW to be more honest than the average person?
NOPE...I think a great majority of them hide behind the title of being a JW and it's supposed reputation for being an honest group of people.

Witlesses also make TERRIBLE tenants. Especially if the landlord is a Witless.#
Yep, they do. We had JW's as tenants ONCE and will never again! They wanted to break the lease (which we let them do), left the place dirty and then complained when we threatened legal action to recoup our cleaning and repair costs, the whole, brothers don't take brothers to court thing! We've had alot of different tentants in our place, and for the most part have been pretty fortunate, with this exception.
BB
Sorry about your luck there BB. I'll tell you a story about a witness landlord that we had years ago. He was doing some reconstruction work on the house and put in a new furnace. What he forgot to do, was hook up the furnace to the chimney. He was not licensed, nor qualified to install furnaces in the first place, and never had it inspected. You know what he said to me? "I have an old furnace, if this had happened at my house, my family would have died from carbon monoxide, but I put in a new furnace, so you guys wouldn't have died.".....Can you believe it? Carbon monoxide, is carbon monoxide, doesn't matter from where it comes, or how old a furnace is!!!! D'OH!! For 3 weeks, that Fall, we became very sick, massive headaches and went back and forth to the doctor and couldn't figure it out. Found out later, that 3 more weeks and we all could have died...as it was, we did suffer some long-lasting damage that will never be rectified...I still find it difficult to turn on the furnace every Fall because of what happened to us. Long story short, because the landlord tried to say it was my husband's fault, ( WTF?) and never even apologised to us, my husband got a lawyer and we took him to court....we won...he was wrong, but had the elders backing him, because "you never take your brother to court", bullshyte... Never mind he could have killed us...that doesn't matter...what would he have said to my family had we all died, "Oh, is wasn't my fault, I told XX to hook it up?" A$$wipe!!! That's real Agape love for ya!!!

Well I cooked 20 pounds of wings up thisafternoon, tomorrow I'll put the sauce on them, honey garlic on one batch, barbecue sauce on another and the bulk of the wings will get Louisiana Hot Sauce. Tomorrow morning I'll make my chicken chili with mole sauce, and let it slow cook all day.
I'm also making a 7 layer dip, with corn chips, and a huge macaroni salad; my brother is cooking up some good ol' ribs, he's making a broccoli salad, and some bacon wrapped water chestnuts.....yum
We have lots and lots of beer, and a couple bottles if vino...some scotch...we're good to go!!

Multi-tasking? Is it a skill or a disorder?
by Crumpet indo you tend to multi-task or hone in one job, giving it your full concentration until its finished?.
would you say your ability/inability to multi-task is an attribute or a curse?.
the reason i ask is that i seem to have a very short attention span.
-
delilah
I multi-task...it drives my family mad. I used to think it was a skill, however the older I become, the more I realise it's a curse.
I'll throw laundry in, come back upstairs, start the dishes, let the dog out, feed her, gather all the dishes from the family room the kids left behind, grab the mail, open the important stuff, chuck the rest on the counter for later; finish the dishes, get something out of the freezer for dinner, throw the load of wash into the dryer, let the dog back in, go upstairs to clean the bath, ....you get the idea....is that what you mean Crumpy? I'm exhausted now....
