christmas music?
by John Doe ini have a job in retail working nights and weekends.
i was sick of christmas music from black friday on--the first day it was played.
don't get me wrong, traditional christmas music is ok in moderation, but remixes and every tom dick and harry doing it is enough to drive one insane!

Cigars N Scotch or Bourbon?
by feelinsketchy inhi all, it's been a long, long time since i have posted.
maybe its because i stopped giving a crap about this religion.
at the same time, i meditate on how 5 generations of my family have suffered believing the lies perpetrated by it.

COMMENTS YOU WILL NOT HEAR AT THE WT STUDY Nov, 24-20, 2008
by Mary ini told blondie i'd do the comments this week to help give her a bit of a break.
this week's study is all about resisting the spirit of the world.
this is nothing new really-----they've been preaching this for decades, but it still unbelievable how hypocritical they can be......... the study article is in black, my comments are in blue and unless otherwise noted, all scriptures are from the nwt.. .

LMAO Coffee_black ..
I do happen to like teeagers, and I love mine..I have two, aged 13 and 16. They can be sweet and loving at times, and a right pain in the arse at other times...but I love them dearly.
I was once a teenager, and let me tell you...I'd NEVER want to be a teen again!!! It's awkward, you're not a child anymore, nor are you an adult....you just don't know where to fit in really...so you try to find your little niche, and have some fun. You're constantly under the scrutiny of adults, who tell you to "act your age".... lmao!!
All teens grow up eventually...bear with them.

Oddly enough, my JW mother says she is proud of my son, and never battted an eye when she learned he practises in a church...but when she found out his first concert would be in a church, she suddenly couldn't come...I expected it anyways, and my son was only mildly dissappointed...she has not had much to do with my boys anyways....their loss!!
David, that's awesome news about your son...I love the saxophone...good for him!!! He will have a lot of fun!!

That's so awesome!! She's beautiful AND very talented!!! Enjoy the choir!! We love classical music and opera....
My 13 year old son was "discovered", this past June by his school principal, who was able to wrangle an audience with one of Canada's top opera singers...who also happens to be a professor at a University not far from me...let's say, it has changed my son's life dramatically! He is a tenor, singing in a Philharmonic Youth Choir, where he is the youngest member, only 13..the others are 18, 19 and some in University already.
My son's desire is to sing opera professionally one day. This professor, is keeping tabs on my son, and wants to tutor him, at his university.
His first concert was also in a church, and they practise in a church every Friday night...hee hee hee....
You have a PM...

Volunteering at Assemblies.
by LouBelle income on i know many of you did.. i used to volunteer because 1. my mum forced me as a kid, then 2. i wisend up to the fact i'd miss quite a bit of the session if i volunteered.. many hours were spent cleaning stadiums, the loos (vomit), picking up litter.
in the days when they served meals at the assemblies we peeled potatoes, chopped onions, cooked, served the food / cooldrinks.
took the tickets.

The best jobs were watchmen jobs.
AND....watchwomen jobs.... We girls liked to wander about watching the hot young guys....who were watching the hot young girls.....
In all seriousness, Loubelle...I volunteered every chance I could, especially when we served hot meals....got me away from sitting in those very uncomfortable chairs, and listening to the nonsense that was spewing forth.

If you can do it, go for it!!! San Diego is home for my hubby, and his family are all still there...he finds it difficult being way up here in Canada...especially around the holidays.
