Doesn't make sense.....
by lavendar inwe have a relative (by marriage) who is a jw.
even though she knows we oppose the organization she belongs to, she still wants to get together and do stuff with us (i thought jws were encouraged not to socialize with opposers).
she's a very sweet person and my husband & i have a good relationship with her.

Hi Lavender, maybe she just enjoys your company. Inviting you to the memorial 2 years in a row, tho', is obviously her ploy to try and convert you to their religion. Still, she seems to like being with you, and the elders haven't told her to stop associating with you, yet. So, I say enjoy!!! It would be nice to have JW family to hang around with, that don't speak of their beliefs!!! I swear I have a cauliflower ear, every time I see my mom, she preaches......

How many married folks post here and your spouse does not know?
by xjwms ini got to thinking about this, and how many are here without telling anyone.. my active wife does not know i post here.
also, i have met some wonderful local people who are here, and you know who you are.. those who i met, i regard as friends, and very supportive.
given our backgrounds we understand each other.. is this a double life?

My husband is DF'd, and really could care less that I post here. But he did wonder why I felt the need to be on this site,as he thought that once we left the borg, we wouldn't need to talk about it ever again. He was not raised in the religion, as I was from age 10, so he doesn't understand the need for me to heal my wounds, so-to-speak. But after hearing me laugh and tell him the funny things posted here, and the more serious info on the society, that we never knew about before we left the borg, he is grateful for the site.....as I am. It's FINALLY happened!!!
by HadEnuf inwe just received 1,000 copies of my son's band, tree of woe's, new cd..."mushroom cloud".
they are an alternative rock band that recorded at 7th kid studios down in ok with jimmy newquist producing 3 of the songs this past march.
they're even getting air time on central wi's biggest rock station.

I was helping my dad, fix the brakes on my car, and my future husband came into the yard with my brother.....I had grease all over my clothes, my hair was a mess, and my face had dirt and grease and grime all over.....and he was absolutely gorgeous. With his brown hair and golden eyes that sparkled....I knew it WAS NOT going to work out........3 months later, we were married, and next Tuesday, May 31st, we celebrate 14 years of marriage......I was in love the moment I saw him......It was for love.............( lets out a huge sigh....)
