What's the best way to get to people to expose the Watchtower's lies?? Tell the truth. Point out HOW JWs are a cult. Make sure people know that they do not celebrate birthdays yet will celebrate anniversaries. Let them know they can't accept whole blood but they can be transfused with "blood fractions". Point out that their "love" is so profound that they will violate a basic tenet of Christianity and no longer honor their parents if they get "disfellowshipped". They cannot have any normal contact with them if they no longer are Jehovah's Witnesses. BUT if they lived in the same house, they could have normal contact! Reveal that they have no priests and clergy but they do have elders that you must go through in order to be pleasing to God. JUST TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH. And see what happens.....

I agree with you Min, but do you think most people are ready to hear it?? My family sure would not be...they would draw their swords and slice me in two in a heartbeat..

I agree that there's a time and a place. But even in conversation, you can point out certain things that are even troubling to Witnesses. This has worked well for me.

I like truth but sometimes it is not what people want to hear. JWs in particular like to have their ears tickled.

There is none as blind as those that do not want to see and none as deaf as those that do not want to hear

Sometimes slowly chipping away is what is needed. You can't BOMBARD anyone. That's threatening.

I think one of the things that is disturbing to a lot of JWs, particularly those who have been JWs for many decades, is the increasing emphasis on money, donations, covering expenses that the GB and WTS are imposing on the congregations, while out of the other corner of the WTS's mouth is "we don't pass the collection plate like the Catholics do".

I agree with Scully too. Good point and also Minimus when you mentioned how can a person honour their parents if they've been disfellowshipped. How will they answer to God for their falsehoods and man made rules and regulations that have no bearing on scripture? And what really makes me annoyed is that the Society gave the impreassion that the NWT was copied by Bible Scholars, the only one scholar I believe was F. Franz. The omissions of scriptual texts, and have altered the Word of God to make biblical texts to appear as something else other than what it truly is. Their lies of knowledge of Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic.

I think what hurts the most is that the truth has been proven to be a lie. It sickens me that for years and years they have contributed different dates to the time of the end or the great tribulation or the gentile times the leauge of nations and the united nations. They have taken credit for the work of what other religions have done. Such as biblical date of creation. But the United Nation thing is what angers me so much as much as sexual abuse and predators with in their ranks all the way up to the Governing Body.

How is that they allowed Leo Greenless to remain in good standing and Percy Chapman why weren't these men disfellowshipped for their lewd and depraved lives. How is that they ranked prefferential treatment when any other witness would be disfellowshipped. Yet they did disfellowship Ray Franz and he didn't do anything wrong but explain what he discovered in doing biblical researsh..

People need to hear the truth and yes sommtimes truth hurts. But hey we need to expose the society for covering up child abuse, legal cases brought against them, transplants, blood issues and the like.

If they aren't quilty why the cover ups. Danny Hazzard and Randy Watters are great whistleblowers.

Have any of you ever thought that if the Internet didn't exist we may never have become privy to the inner working of the Organization. Many of us would still be in darkness as to the real truth. The Society accusess the internet as being an instrument of the Devil maybe they've been fooled and God allowed the Internet to exist so as to expose the Organization as Corrupt. I dare say that Jesus Christ must truly be ashamed of their behavior or conduct that is unbecoming of a Christian.

I agree MIN. There is so many young people in the org now that need this honesty. Many in the gen. of my parents, I don't expect any mass exodus, but the young ones I believe we owe this truth too. They are frustrated and are powerless to do much about the org, but we can a least attempt to help free them with truthful info.
