  Boldly Expose Religious Sex Abuses

  the guardian paper in the united kingdom has reported about the pedophile scandal involving some 80 priests in the boston area and noted (one might say "commended") the boston post for boldly doing much to bring the scandal to the public's attention.

  Do-Not-Call Flyer Text: Your comments please.

  i jotted down a draft for a flyer aimed at the general public who know next-to-nothing about the jw's.

  i've tried to be calm and rational in the feel of the text, to avoid giving the impression of having an axe to grind.. i think having suggested pro-forma letters on the back of the flyer would be good, perhaps with the addresses of the local congregation and branch office already filled in.. the flyer would need to be tweaked for different countries where, for instance, not-at-home slips are no longer used.. so, please let me know what you think.

  easter, what's the real truth: previously, and as found in most encyclopedias, most scholars took the view of "the venerable bede" who in 8th century england speculated that the name easter may have come from the name for the anglo-saxon goddess eastre.

  but closer research shows several other possibilities.

  one is that the name more likely came from the latin for "white week" that spring week when people wore white to be baptized as christians.

  kent steinhaug and many others published the suicide death of u.s. airforce captain craig button whose family were jws and who was heavily influenced by jw teachings.

  though there was considerable debate the airforce eventually concluded his upbringing had definitely played a role.

  Suicide yes, I have concidered it.

  why would i want such a thing:.

  i am lonely, and i know that most of the women who are jw's are concerned with them selves they want rich men with flashy clothes.. women who want prestige in the congregation saying look i got an elder for a husband see how he is taking the lead in my family in all things and giving talks at the assembles, i show him respect as man only because he has earned it in the fashion of a bride price.. thus the above relates to me to the extent my ex-wife got me to believe in all this negative crap, that i as a man was unworthy of god and my fellow members if i don't size up to all the religious do's and don'ts.. depression oh yeah i am that just like toy's r. us, traumatic brain injury then my a wonderful wife in good standing in the holy witness congregation of twenty-one years, dumps my sorry ass saying gee you have changed too much.

  like duh, you have large portion of your brain stabbed and gouged from skull fragments and see if it does not confuse you or contribute to depressing you dear, of course no response she just goes and marries a known child molester of the congregation who then attempts it on my twelve year old daughter.. oh there's is much more so crazy you would think i was making it up, but who gives a flying crap, huh.. ~shane
