if they did, when did they issue the ban?.

didn't some of jesus's apostles carry a sword when the group traveled, to protect agains wild animals and human thieves?

What stupid things did you confess to the elders?

i forced my husband to confess to the elders that we were having os!

damn that was stupid ... he was great at it .

i also made him tell the brothers that he changed a number on our temporary license tag (don't laugh!

It was just another one of the steps along the way. No matter what you did it was never enough or that you should reach out for more. Then they wonder why people burn out and leave.

didn't having a conscience usually mean a fear of being punnished for doing wrong of being caught?

as a jw lad i was always praised for having a good conscience when i caved in and fessed up for fear i was about to get caught being naughty.

That's called cowboy justice.

While I am not a supporter of guns or too strict of gun control you must look at Japan, Northern European countries, and other places that have strict gun control limits. THEY HAVE LOWER VIOLENT DEATHS and CRIME. So you cannot make that empty argument without defending that MORE GUNS EQUALS MORE GUN DEATHS. Also, your gun will more than likely used against you in a crime.

I have owned guns myself. 9MM, Uzzi, .22, .357. Used them to target pratice and "shoot stuff" for fun. Nothing wrong with them per se in my opinion yet they do cause considerable harm and death. So guns don't kill people, people kill people is true. But an inflamed, drunken sot maybe only could punch someone when pissed instead of grabbing his "2nd amendment right" and shoot someone.

I think that's the reason they press people to get baptized so early so they can control them even more. The unspoken rule was if you weren't baptised by 16 or 17 you were a loose cannon. I was 16 when I got dunked...stupid, stupid, stupid.

I love my Sunday's as well !!!

Never once felt guilty about missing "the spiritual food". Yeah, if you like strained, pureed prunes it was enlightening I guess.

But enough Jo Ho stuff, off to ride my bike for an hour and then a well deserved nap :)

i've been racking this around my brain for a minute now.

you've got people puttin in an average of 10 hours a month, giving away countless publications, and still only converting one or two families every 20 years or so.

this raises an obvious question, "if the door to door ministry doesn't bring in converts why do it?

Make Busy Work....

God doesn't have enough for all of us to do. We were too good at the "be fruitful and multiply". So now we have too many people, not enough to do. So as with any good corporation... we have "Make Busy Work".

Maybe he is out hunting the wild beast. The scarlet colored beast. Oh, but be sure to check the library first in case any of God's mouthpieces are there....wouldn't want to offend the big guy.
