  which i think you guys call a fader...so far i'm pretty much got away with it.

  my close family are in the truth love them to bits and i seriously dont want to alienate them- my story is a positive one, they have accepted that i dont go to meetings anymore and although they arent pleased they accept my viewpoint.

  i am not a bitter ex-witness, i enjoyed my time meeting people while i was a witness although a lot shunned me after and a few years before i went 'public'

  DOES ANYONE STILL NOT CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS???

  just wondering if anyone still does not celebrate xmas since leaving jws.....or like me do you think"to hell with it", and join in the festivities.

  if you do celebrate it, do you still have pangs of guilt for celebrating this "pagan" festival???.

  The last Christmas I celebrated was when I was 10. I still remember it. . . Last year, we gave the kids gifts w/o a tree or wrapping them. This year . . . I'm thinking about getting one of those little 4 ft. trees and trying it out. Who knows, next year - maybe we'll do the lights, etc. I'm so confused

  Before this article was written, the information was given out at a District Convention. Our talk was given by our PO - someone I always loved listening to and always paid rapt attention to. I remember sitting there with my head cocked to the side and my mouth hanging open . . . On the way home, I turned to my husband and said, " Did he just say it was okay to vote? He DID just say it was okay to vote, right???"

  Do you just tell them to STFU?

  okay so this is my rant for the week, i have someone on myspace that sends bulletins everyday, and she always writes things like "jesus loves you" or "god cares about you" and i have to tell you, it annoys me a lot.

  i don't know if there is a god but even if he is out there i want nothing to do with him, it pisses me off when ppl say things like "just trust in god he knows what he is doing" it never used to but now when i hear someone say that it makes me want to scream and pull my hair out both at the same time.

  **sigh** i don't want to be rude to anyone but i also hate it when people feel the need to tell me to trust in something i don't believe in, maybe i should just get a shirt that says "there is no god" maybe then people would take a hint.. .

  lately on jwd there have been a number of posts regarding the state of woman in the jw organization.

  one lady asks sisters for their thoughts and comments on male dominance over their lives.

  i am not a sister but for quite a few years this subject has been on my mind, but i never spoke my thoughts, always waiting for someone else to come up with a clearer explanation of bible texts that seem to indicate that christian woman should keep their mouths shut.. where to start?

  That's what angers me when I think about this "new light." What about all those blind followers who died in the years before, months before, weeks and DAYS BEFORE the GB decided it was ok for them to have a choice!!!

  i was df'd about 2 months ago and decided to take this time to explore the teachings i have spent my life spewing to others.

  well, it took very little time to discover it was a bunch of crap.

  i have learned about the lies and inconsistant teachings and what not.
