If you can't read the book, at least find a theatrical production of MAN OF LA MANCHA and go see that. It's fantastic. Love, Jaypeeto

April Fools joke on JW wife that will land you in hot water
by catchthis ini was sitting here at work thinking what could i do to my other half this morning.
my brainstorming concluded that i should repent of my sins and make a request to get reinstated.
instead of calling her at home, i figured she was probably in front of her computer doing bills and such so i shot off an email.

What kind of people are attracked to the JWS?
by new boy inmostly i'd say unhappy ones!
i look back at my life, and say it was my unhappy mother, who infected my family.
it was perfect for her.

I would say that, in the case of many adult converts, many of them are ALREADY self-righteous and judgmental, and along comes this religion that says that the whole world sucks and is about to be incinerated, and voila they've found what they are looking for. Not everyone of course, but many in my experience. Regards, Jaypeeto1

The Pope just took his last poop.........
by WingCommander ini'm sure the jw's will be dancing around the may pole tonight celebrating!!
honestly, mother therasa did more to help the needy and poor then the pope did any day.
i always found it funny how catholics worshipped the pope, and even seem to think he is christ on earth or something.

My main criticism of John Paul II, as a Catholic myself, is that he never exercised any discipline in the church during his entire 26 year pontificate. Regards, Jaypeeto

We Catholics do not regard the pope as a god. He is the successor to the office of St. Peter. As for that picture of him from South Park, it looks like he is holding either a cellphone or a corn-dog in his hand, I can't figure out which. Love, Jaypeeto1

Which Translation of the Bible would you say is most accurate?
by researcher inwhich translation of the bible would you say is most accurate and was not influenced by any 'religious group' in the translation?

I too, recommend the NIV, even though I'm Catholic and the NIV is not a Catholic translation. It's also a very enjoyable read, unlike some other versions which are wooden. Best, Jaypeeto1 (formerly Jaypeeto)

4-1-05 WT Galileo and Catholic Church: Lessons to be learned
by blondie ini won't go through the whole account of galileo; he believed what his eyes told him, not the church, and died under house arrest.. .
the wts has these comments:.
because galileo rejected an interpretation of scripture based on greek philosophy, he stood condemned!

Actually, Jeff is correct. Papal infallibility is a non-issue here, since Catholicism holds that the pope is infallible only in very limited, extreme circumstances, namely when he is solemnly defining a DOGMA of faith or a DOGMA of morals. Infallibility does not extend to politics, medicine, science, etc.
