Funny I had totally forgotten about this--I used to never talk about it or tell people I used to be involved because I was so scared I would run into some JW, and then they would have to shun me. Now I could give a rat's behind if people know; in fact now I tell people about the research I'm doing on the JW cult and how destructive it is.

Does anyone else flip off the Kingdom Hall when they drive by?
by Dustin inso it has become habit for me to go out of my way when driving to make sure i can give it the finger as i drive by.
i especially like to do this on the way to one of my favorite bars, especially on meeting nights just so people who knew me can see me do it.
i don't know why, but this has become a tradition of sorts.

Watchtower Bible and Crap Society---LOVE TO SEE NEW NAMES
I am cracking up--you people are totally making my morning, I can't stop giggling
Sounds like Dustin has an addiction problem--an addiction to flipping zee birdie at KH.
I'm a little shy about being obnoxious but I sure am fantasizing about things I would like to do to JWs.

Great Experiences- I was serfing the net ad came across APOSTATES
by You People Are All Idiots inwow, yeah i was looking fr the theocratic ministry school oral review questions and i came across an apostate site!
the site was www.jehovahs-witness.com and was just fill of retarded apostates!
they were not only using a domain name and header name that denotes a conection with the actual watchtower society, but where using it to blasphem the jehovah's true organization in order to help people break away.

Sorry for your troubles. Seems like the elders do what they want no matter what the Society rules are, and then they lie to cover up any misconduct on their part.

**MUST READ** AlanF's email to Knocking.org
by sf inthis is a must-read that, hopefully, will stay an "active topic" for all seekers and lurkers, by bumping it to the top as often as possible.
alan wrote it in randys {dogpatch} thread regarding knocking.org documentary and in reply to the email mr. engardio sent to barbara anderson.
however, it is so vital a read that it indeed needs its own thread:.

"Before my wife and i got married, she gave my wife this story about a jw girl who married a worldly guy. By the end of the story the girl had HIV, a baby, had been beaten by her husband, and he left her for another woman. "
After all the things I have learned on the Internet, the so called 'worldly guy's behavior is similar to and/or better behavior than a lot of active JW men!

I am new here, former JW left years ago.
by out of the box ini want to discuss my experiences with the witnesses.
how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.
a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

Welcome outofthebox!
I can relate to your story and am glad you are out of that abuse. I was married to a non JW who became more and more controlling and abusive and was constantly told by the elders to stay in my marriage. Since our divorce my ex has been arrested numerous times for beating up on his girlfriends. I knew of other JW women who were not allowed to leave their abusive/and or drug addicts/alcoholic spouses. Isn't is great to finally realize that we don't have to live in misery? Life is too short. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome! I like your rebellious spirit! I too was a teenager who could never be good enough for Jehoover and am surprised I didn't commit suicide.
Skyman--I like your pumpkin but I really miss your mask picture. It was like you were laughing at a secret joke or something.
