  XJW Meetups: They're not singles bars, dammit.

  ok, i just had to vent.

  i found out somebody in our local minneapolis/saint paul meetup has been harassing one of our meetup attendees.

  this person has been getting multiple phone calls from this person even though they've been told in a gentle way "i'm not interested, back off, you're old enough to be my dad.

  It's just really unbelievable how unChristian the JWs are. Jesus would never have treated a rape victim like that! Oh I just get so mad sometimes listening to these heartwrenching stories. But on the up-side, I thank God and the Universe and Satan and whoever else is out there listening that I am no longer one of the JDumbers!!!

  i've been going to meeting with my jw husband, and have heard the term at the kh.

  and now i have heard it here.

  i don't want to ask my husband because it just gives him a reason to preach (witness) to me.. .

  inlove2 -- I just read your profile. I hope your spouse doesn't try to force this religion on you. Must be hard for you now that he returned to the JWs. Be careful, sometimes they are very clever at making their beliefs sound good. Also--does your spouse know you visit this site? The JWs think this is an evil apostate website.

  You want to know one of the reasons the Watchtower Society makes me so sick? They spend a lot of time in their stupid articles putting down the Catholic Church and other churches for covering up abuse, they are so sick and so hypocritical!

  Wish Me Well: Surgery Tomorrow

  well, i did my best with physical therapy but it's not enough.

  my knee is very unstabile (especially since i fell again 6 weeks ago).

  tomorrow i'm scheduled for knee surgery to repair my acl..

  as with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.

  here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.

  jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

  Brunnehilde--now be careful with those EVIL Disney movies! They are full of Fairies & Magic. Besides, once one of the Anointed let us know that talking animals on cartoons are demonized because Satan used a snake to speak to Eve in the Garden of Eden. Those evil Disney characters, how could you watch such depraved things of the WORLD? LOL

  so, it was my daughter's birthday on the 2nd of february.. she is being raised jw and i sent her an email birthday card.. i get this note as a response: (mind you, it may be from her mother).

  I think you should send her a real birthday card with money in it, and put in there that you will always love her no matter what.

  Funny, I was just realizing the fact that my JW sister will return Christmas gifts to people but when my dad sends her a check for Christmas--she doesn't have any problems cashing it!!! What a hypocrite!

  "like that candy, holidays may seem sweet, but they have been picked up from unclean places.....we need to have a viewpoint like that of the prophet isaiah, who told true worshiper:touch nothing unclean".---------so origins really matter!
