  the greatest benefit to come from jehovah's witnesses was the introduction of honest investigation into the.

  claims of christianity based on the bible.. exposing error was the gimmick.. replacing doctrine or ritual with door to door activity was the greatest failure to follow truth where it leads.. .

  mainstream religion in pastor russell's day was set in stone.

  I think many of you miss the point of this topic, turning it into a man vs woman diatribe. Woman and the domestic household is the foundation on which societies are built. Several years ago I read a book titled "When God Was A Woman" In the long ago of human history women ran the show at all levels. That is until hoards of male dominated warrior tribes moved in on the Earthmother farming groups. This theory has been around a long time, it is not new. Even today there are cultures, all around the world, wherin woman are dominate, not men. Yes, I know, they are few and far between, but do exist.

  Terry's topic has merit. Think about it, don't let the ruse of male domination fog your mind. After all that's what men want, isn't it?...

  there's no evidence that can't be overturned and exposed as deception in the scientific community.

  jehovah's witnesses don't stonewall any new findings.

  we have degree regarding adaptation.

  "i always appreciate your encouragement..."...if we band of brothers, who spent most of our lives being controled by an unloving cult, don't encourge one another, who will?

  Where is that "Hidden HOOK"?

  a number of years ago i started doing something i had never done before.. i started questioning the basic premise of things which cause arguments.. why?.

  long running controversy usually contains a hidden premise both sides buy into without knowing it.. by backing up one whole step and questioning the basis for the hidden premise the problem quickly goes away.. .

  Have you ever read this book?...Terry...

  Yes. The Bible is a collection of writtings than can be panned for nuggets, along with other "wisdom" books. A person can have a personel relationship with God sans any type of holy writ, or religion for that matter. I came to understand that after the fact. God and spritual matters are for the individual, not the collective. I do my best to live by "The Law of the Good Samaritain". Honed and polished it is a foundation to build ones live on. Anything else I may belive about the Creator, or spritual things is my bussiness. Not to be tampered with by another's idea of right, or wrong, or what book from on high is correct....Good points Terry...positive comments by all.

  No, no, not what I meant. There is much writin that is a waste of paper and ink and would just as well fill the back of a cereal box. What you write is deep, must, for me, be read several times over...Like reading C.S. Lewis as opposed to reading a wt rag....
