For me writing has always been a chore. It's easier to sit back and read what other's write, than do the writting myself. Besides, by the time I get ready to post a response, someone else has made the point. Now if you want to sit and converse...that's different.

Insecure posters
by misguided ini wonder if it's just me, or if other posters are like this.
do any of you start to type a post, then hit the back button, or quit your post because your afraid of saying something stupid or "wrong," or reread some of your previous posts and wonder, what you were thinking when you posted it?.
i find most people on this board more than willing to accept you for whatever you say in a post, but i still frequently shy away from hitting that 'submit post' button.. rose (pushing the submit button before chickening out again)

I've been replaced...
by Quentin inmy two year old grandson calls me bap-paw...every afternoon when my daughter picks him up from day care his first words are: my bap-paw.
yesterday my daughter brought home a black lab puppy.
when she picked him up this afternoon...that's right...his frist words were: my puppy...of course my daughter wore out her tires getting home, so she could call and regail her mother with grandson and doggie stories...i've been replaced by a dog...i'm depressed, hope i can sleep tonight...a dog for god sake...

Why 1914 is utterly true (and so is 607 B.C.E.)
by Terry in1914 is a very significant date for true believers.
faithful and eager students of the scriptures figured out (and "proved") jesus would return to kill the wicked and reward the meek in 1874. the signs were obvious.
but, it didn't happen.

What would you do?
by schne_belly inhello my dear fellow jwd members, i need your in put....please.
since my husband i my recent fading process, we've received a few "love bombing" letters from some in our old congregation.. i've received 2 from an old "friend" whom i grew up with and went to school with.
we've drifted apart years ago, to the point where she wouldn't even look at me at the hall---she's a pionner, husband a ministerial servant.

We ignored our letters and finally sent them back unopened. It is hard to realize that those letters are spiritual abuse whether the person sending them realizes it or not.

THEY MURDERED MY DAUGHTER - WILL YOU HELP ?????
by SHUNNED FATHER intwo leading oncologists both agree that my daughter bethany might be alive today if she had not been fed arsenic.
as you may recall, the wts arranged to take my sick daughter into hiding for two months and payed a doctor to prescribe arsenic.
the doctor ant the wts lawyers convinced bethany that the arsenic treatment could cure her.

Wicca information...
by Quentin inmy daughter renee wishes to practice wicca, as she feels it is where she needs to be spiritually.
this is serious business for herit is not a whim, or passing fancy.
she did some internet research and began observing some of the things she found: phases of the moon, burning certain candles for various situations and so forth.

Without REALLY knowing what the word spiritual meant I KNEW in my heart it had more to do with what you felt inside rather than it having to do with a religion or Gawd.
Of, concerned with, or affecting the soul.
Good definition.
Appreciate the comments DAC...Rene does as well...she said to thank everyone and hopfully she will soon be able to post for herself.
