just got done with watchtower study science class 101. so ya know how when u look at a rainbow it reminds u of jehovah's promise never to destroy the earth with a flood.
we should probably do the same thing when watching the beautiful displays of the northern lights .

i went to the sunday circuit assembly and came back all riled up with all the nonsense.. the sunday program was on ''safeguarding your spirituality''.
''it is better to remain single and not marry.
that gives you more time for studying and the preaching work.
High School Counselor: ''Have a seat Karen and I will show you all the College applications I have for you.''
Sister: ''Thank you for all the work you have done.''
Counselor: '' I have an application from Harvard,one from Michigan University,and a couple from the East Coast.''
Sister: '' I have done alot of thinking and decided not to go to any College."
Counselor: ''Karen,you have a 4.0 grade average and scored very high on the A.C.T. and you would have no problem getting into any of these schools."
Sister: '' As you know,I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that we are near the ''end times.'' I decided that I will go into the preaching work part time and maybe go to a 2 year school."
Counselor: ''You will probably get into these schools at almost no cost because of your 4.0 average and high A.C.T. scores and have a good career the rest of your life.These are great schools and will prepare you to land a good job.''
Sister: ''This world is passing by and may not be here any longer. I decided to enter the ministry work and Jehovah God will provide for me in the future."
Everyone applauded except me. That was really sad to see!
Verbatim conversation I had with my counselor thirty two years ago. THIRTY effing TWO! F*ck! I wish I had a time machine, I would go back and kick my younger, smug self right in his dumb, fat arse! We can thank Jehovah that he made it possible that the solar flares from the sun are deflected by the magnetic field that goes around the earth. Otherwise we would be just little fried pieces of embers if he didn't. K that's my science THOUGHT of the day.
Yep, "Watchtower Study Science Class 101". The same class that has also taught that we think with our heart, that personality is carried in the blood, and that man has only been on Earth for about 6000 years.
I know this lady personally, have known her for decades. She is definitely in the D-U-M category of dumb.
i spoke to a ms the other day, trying to get his opinion on the wt we'd just studied at the meeting.
the paragraph where the co didn't know if he had enough money to afford gas for a trip, he prayed and went anyway, and someone donated the exact amount to cover his trip.. my question to the ms was - the wt clearly are saying jah answered that prayer, yet there were a couple dozen jw's sheltering in a kh in the philippines, undoubtedly praying, yet they all died in the hurricane.
how's that work, how can jah answer some prayers but not others?.

now the branch office here is a large compound built on acres of prime real estate.
jw07, do they still have the restaurant there in Montego called (if I remember correctly) The Pelican? 22 years ago, when I was there on honeymoon, we went there because it was run by Witnesses. It was a very clean place! After seeing the "Desolation Row" outside of Jack Tar Village, it was nice to find a place that looked like a Denny's, but served Jerk pork and curried goat.
Is the local hall still on Queen Street?
Also, there was a JW named Felix (The Cat) who gave guided tours of the island. He drove a very shiny muscle car, and he was a great guide! My wife and I thought the tour was the high point of the trip. Is he still around?
we are visiting family in albuquerque nm for thanksgiving and we stopped by walter whites house and car wash. were big breaking bad fans.
