No book study?
by jacethespace inis it true that the watchtower has scrapped the book study group meetings?.
i find this really funny as for years when i was in the tower i was constantly being told how jehovah has set up the book study group so that when the great tribulation starts and religion is turned on we can then all meet in our small book study groups around the world and be protected and still be instructed and spirtually poisoned i mean fed to death.but now this plan is blown out the window those still in the tower are still falling for this bull and believing no doubt that this is jehovah improving his organization.. has anyone still in asked what will happen to the congregation now when religion is banned at the end?.
also what about the scripture they always used which said 1st century christians met in there homes?does that no longer matter or apply?.

I remember the "five fingers" analogy that some speakers would use. If we are hanging onto a rope or rung with one hand to keep from falling, we would want to use all five fingers to grip. All five meetings were supposed to be like our fingers.
I guess now, we just need four. Oh, wait! Now that fifth finger is combined with two others! Analogy saved!
There is only one finger I'd like to give to those in charge......

Anyone here have experience with the Arcade Game industry?
by Nosferatu ini just came up with a really wicked idea to make some money renting out a specialized game machine.
i can easily build the machines for cheap, but i don't know how the whole business end of it works.
when you see an arcade game in a place such as 7-11, are they renting the game machine, or does the company pay 7-11 to have the machine in it's store?

You would probably have to go through a distributor of vending machines and arcade games. A cursory search on Yahoo scores a lot of hits. Maybe find one close to where you are.
The business used to be "mobbed up" back in the day, but now it's probably no more crooked than any other business where a lot of money flows through....

Right author, wrong book. That's actually a quote from "Animal Farm". This book is much closer to how the WTBS operates than the situation in "1984" (though the parallels of both are very striking...)

Fred (asshole) Cua--boy could I tell you a story on this asshole
Please do! I had the misfortune of him coming through our circuit.
He tried to strongarm a brother who had lost his home in a tornado into having the building committee rebuild his home. All the brother had to do was turn over his insurance settlement check. When he wouldn't do it, Cua accused him of being too materialistic!
I hated, hated, hated this man, and the way he was sooooo snide in the way he described those with serious issues in the Hall. They were "getting their toe stubbed, and walking around hollering about it like their leg was broken". Also was amazed at how fast, I mean FAST, he would read a scripture in his talks, like it was an interruption of the more important text of his outline. If he doing that as a number 2 talk, he would definitely be getting a "W" on that one!
