Who really is the FDS?!?!?!?!?
by LDH inhey all, hope you're having a great year so far.. before witnet was closed down, there was an interesting discussion regarding the fds and their failed prophecies.
i asked a question, but unfortunately there wasn't enought time to get everyone's view.. so i'll rephrase my posts, and wait to hear from y'all.. if we are so quick to say that the fds is a false prophet because of some failed prophecies (even tho they say they don't prophecy, we all know better) then how would you explain the bible book of jonah?.
a faithful prophet, jonah, followed (after much trial and tribulation to himself) jehovah's command to declare destruction on the city of nineveh.

Thank you all who replied to my meesage. I know many of you have had simmilar situations. I guess all we can do is showw our love to the loved ones in our lives who are stuck in thier present belief system. My dear daughter has been raised in the j.w. religion by her mother since she was born. She was in tears when she told me about my not being in the wedding. I held her hand and told her it was o.k. I'll just come and take some pictures i said. I feel that this is an opprotunity to express unconditional love, perhaps it will help her to understand what it is. She is a wonderfull, sensetive young women. I hope somday she will understand that we are all a part of creation, the universe, that the creative force is in us all, not just some. I believe that god is love. With that in mind i want to say that i was a J.W. for 15 years. I Dont remember to much unconditional love being expressed. There was alot of judgement of others,even among each other. I dont have the time to get into a lengthy disscusion about it. My daughter is getting married in May, She told me i will not be giving her away, or that most people there wont talk to me since i am no longer a jehovahs witness. If this is love, understaning, and compassion, then I am stunned. I work at a nursing home where people take care of other people, no matter what beliefes they have. Some of the residents there have been jehovahs witness. I did not refuse to care for them because of there faith, because i loved them. I am sad,and stunned that i cannot be more involved in my daughters life, simply because we have different beliefes. I must go now. I hope that all who read this are at peace,and are happy.
