i didn't remember my login email or password so i had to try three different email accounts before i finally found my password and could log back in.
looks like i'm limited to two topics a day so i guess i won't be boring anybody!

There you are, and lola and Arrow; just wonder where all 3 of you are when I get home from work, hmmmmm
jt, made a very good point in a different thread regarding how witnesses follow unwritten rules and understandings.
for example, a witness may shun you----even though you're not disfellowshipped or disassociated.
because they know you're leading an immoral life or that you smoke.
No beards, suits must be worn if one has a privilege, no matter how hot it is in the hall.
DON'T FORGET THE TIE!!
yeah, they are not coming back anymore......lol.
i guess as they told me, i bashed their beliefs and their religion - i don't accept the gospel of jesus and joseph smith in to my heart....lol.
dammit, i was having fun with them too.
Yeah, they are not coming back and I was just getting warmed up.
Were they cute? LOL
There was a couple who came over to see me back when I was a faithful JW and we used to have discussions. We both placed bibles with each other; the two guys didnt have the NWT bible and I didnt have a copy of the book of mormon and they never bothered to come back after they couldn't convince me they had the truth.

i can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.
I haven't check to see if anyone has posted this yet, but here is the KM article in PDF format:
Elsewhere you rock!!

has anyone out there taken online classes only to obtain a degree?
i finally bit the bullet and will be returning to school in september.
i went to a community college many years ago, but never finished what i started.
One advantage of doing it online is that you dont have to worry about parking
To me it would depend on the subject. There are some where I would want classroom participation in and discussion and some classes that I would have to take in order to get a degree and that really isn't part of my major I would do online. I have noticed that some places charge more for you taking it online; at least they used to. I dont know about that now.
a few days ago my wife commented on a letter sent out to all congregations (in the u.s.a.?
) regarding donations.
se said it was long and boaring, but in the end there where a few points she remembered.
JWs are not good about donating money.
Of course they are not good at donating money because many of them simply do not have any money to donate. Many have put their life on hold and never acquired any marketable skills to make money; it's not good enough that the WTS had them duped into spending countless hours trying to sell their magazines and skip out on getting an education so the rank and file would being in a higher income bracket.
a local man, a non-jw church member, committed suicide last week.
my wife, as usual, prepared a covered dish and took it to their house as an expression of sympathy and to help out.
she just received a thank you card from them and i thought i'd share part of it: .
I remember going to one JW funeral where a son of an elder killed himself. I dont know all the specific details on why he killed himself. It was very tragic. I went to the cong where the family went to briefly and spent quite a bit of time at their house since I ran around with his older brother at the time, but I wasnt going there the time it happened. His father had been an elder for years and he was the school overseer when I went to that cong. What was so sad is that that family lost a daughter to a tragic accident about 10 years earlier.
