Hi Str8:
I didn't post on your other thread but I can imagine what you are going through. I basically did a clean break from the organization about 10 years ago and did my fade basically by moving away to avoid the initial emotional ties I may have had with some. When I left I didn't care whether or not "Jehovah" forgave my sexual orientation; it was killing me trying to be someone I wasn't and I was basically for the most part a walkaway believer at the time. It got to where I didn't care if the big A came the next day and I was destroyed by the hands of Jehovah himself I was not going to live the rest of my life in that organization and be gay.

Too many to name just one but I was into ABBA, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac featuring Stevie Nicks, my favorite from the Tusk album, very haunting and beautiful

it doesn't happen to me much but when it does i can't get enough.... i was driving home from a friends house trying to figure out how to work out my finances/home/college/kids and then the song "eye of the tiger" came on.. i've heard this song many times.
this was one of my fave's growing up but it didn't catch my soul like it did tonight.
i was in awe to the point of needing to hear it 6 times already.
I love this song; it reminds me of somebody very special in my life whom I think of every time I hear it. Love the words. Carole Kine is amazing!!

"This myth, like all fables, does in fact have a modicum of truth. There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the ... Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960's, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies (notably to its belief that England was an Atlantic rather than a European Power and must be allied, or even federated, with the United States and must remain isolated from Europe), but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known."

they are full of sh*t!
if i were a practicing jehovah's witness, i'd seriously take the governing body's words to heart immediately.
since they don't want to add any further burdens on us, i would not "wait on jehovah (them)" but instead i'd follow the spirit of their timely words and cut out one more meeting night and save gas money!
Along with that minimus they may encourage some to witness like elderly and shut-ins by writing letters, phone witnessing if you have a landline (cell phone witnessing takes too many minutes during the day) or email witnessing

Blondie:
Im sure they will come up with a couple of old brochures to go over until January. I think the death of the bookstudy as we came to know it was because they just haven't printed anything of substance in years and this way they will not have to print more books - They are already cutting down what they present "in the field". I wonder what they will replace the anticipated excitment with at the district conventions if they down on new releases.
