Do you shop from TV, HSN, QVC or from infomercials?
by littlerockguy ini find myself taking advantage from outlets like hsn and online shopping for different reasons, one basic reason being that i hate the experience of going to wal mart or some other dept store only to find the item out of stock, long lines and stuff, and not to mention not having what you want in the first place.. i buy skincare products (certain brand i have been using for a long time) from hsn when they have special deals on it better than i can get off ebay and i also buy certain andrew lessman vitamins when he has specials on it and other stuff from hsn.. it's basically it's website i order my stuff.
many times when you order from online the shipping and handling and even setting up of stuff is free, unlike when you order from a big box dept store.
i also buy most of my books online through amazon and ebay.

What Are Some "Strange" Beliefs Jehovah's Witnesses Have?
by minimus ini think it's fair to say that witnesses' beliefs are often odd.
how they come to a "biblical" conclusion is often unreasonable and far fetched!.
please list some ideas and views that jehovah's witnesses have that are unusual or weird..

1 (generation) + 1 (another one that "overlaps a preceding one) = 1 generation Jesus spoke of in Matthew

So What's Up With All The Anger?
by mind blown ini'm fairly new to this board.
since i'm currently having to deal with a stressful situation, i was interested in this site (friends in common and info).
when i first posted, i hadn't introduced myself (just didn't think it was important), however, my first post was met with some serious hateful "personal" attacks by few on a subject which i was just asking a question regarding the mayan calendar....... i now see there's more personal attacks on other posters.

Whatever happened to kindness?
by Terry inlately i've notice how few people i'm around practice kindness.. it is, frankly, apalling to me.. i don't see any reason to be rude.
there is too much of that already.. when somebody makes a mistake i try to let it drop and not mention it or give them a dig.. why?
how hard is it to be kind?.

I think I'm a kind person. At least I try to be. There are still kind people out there and I have been fortunate enough to have have a few people like that in my life. The kindness you give others do come back to you, sometimes during the times when it is most needed.

David Gates wrotes these words in tribute to his father. Makes me appreciate that my father is still alive to let him know I do appreciate him.

Books you would like to see back in print
by littlerockguy ini been reading books by taylor caldwell the past few months and i read a book by hers called the listener.
it's been out of print for quite some time.
the book is considered religious and in a way it is and i don't really classify myself as a christian since i really don't know what to believe anymore but i think it is a book that christians and people who aren't christians would enjoy here is one review from goodreads on it:.

The book is considered religious and in a way it is and I don't really classify myself as a christian since I really don't know what to believe anymore but I think it is a book that christians and people who aren't christians would enjoy here is one review from goodreads on it:
An eccentric widower builds a small, window-less chapel-type building in the center of a city, where people of all walks of life, and all manner of earthly trials can go to have conference within a room containing only a chair, a stage and a curtain. There is no person there, other than themselves; just a quiet peace, and this curtain. They have heard of this place from others who have been there, but they do not know what to expect or to whom-if anyone-they are speaking. Still, they feel some sense of a presence within; an unjudgemental listener. Feeling no condemnation from the curtain, the individuals who go there are free to express themselves, confide in the silence. What they find, or do not find, is conditional only upon their faith that someone IS there, behind that curtain, who cares.
What older books do you like that are no longer in print that you would like to see back in print.

What You Are Confronted With in a Bookstore
by AllTimeJeff injust sharing something that occurred to me this weekend.. i love to go to bookstores.
barnes and noble's is the one closest to where i live, although there are a couple of independent bookstores downtown that i like as well.. i have to admit that at times, i feel overwhelmed when i look at all the books.
next to rush limbaugh's latest is al franken's latest.
