I saw this movie years ago on TV and really enjoyed it, however it has been so long since I seen it I would have to rewatch to explain the movie. All I know is that I liked the movie and it was kinda obscure but a good story and movie.

Favourite Quirky / Low Budget / Non-Mainstream Movies
by Simon inso the recent topic about film franchises got me thinking.
sure, we all love the big budget, mainstream releases that are so successful they spawn never-ending (it sometimes seems) sequels.
we could watch marvel and star-wars movies for the rest of our lives (and we might just ...).. but y'know what i love?

America missed out on this group from the UK in the 70s. I loved Smokie!!! I heard them when I lived in Saudi Arabia when I was a kid and used to have some of their tapes.

Clearly, undeniably, without doubt ... is there a term for introducing a thought in such a way.
by jwfacts inwatchtower article often introduce a point that has no merit with words such a "undeniably.".
for instance the watchtower 2014 august 15 page 10 says:.
"jehovah undeniably blesses the preaching work of christian women and supports them in times of trial.

Memorial Invite
by littlerockguy ini moved back to my hometown almost a year ago after being away for almost 20 years.
since that time it's gotten around to others in the area and my relatives how i view the organization, not to mention that my brother and sister have outed me to some people about my sexual orientation and that's all it takes.
so now i feel estranged somewhat from relatives i used to be close to even though i have not been outright shunned by them.

I moved back to my hometown almost a year ago after being away for almost 20 years. Since that time it's gotten around to others in the area and my relatives how I view the organization, not to mention that my brother and sister have outed me to some people about my sexual orientation and that's all it takes. So now I feel estranged somewhat from relatives I used to be close to even though I have not been outright shunned by them. Several have unfriended me on facebook and have been distant but would say hi and talk to me if I ran into them in a grocery store.
Back to topic of my post, I was at home yesterday and had been up all morning around the house. My mother had went out and done some shopping and came in the front door and had a memorial invitation she said she found in the door. I never heard the door knock and nobody rang the doorbell.
Is this what field service and tract placements are going to now? Just put one in the door and run? I live in a small town of about 10,000 which is the central marketing area for the surrounding rural area in every direction and there are 2 congregations for this area and years ago I went to the closer congregation even though I lived in the territory of the other congregation but I have relatives in both congregations. I just wonder if somebody I knew put it there or if it was from someone in that congregation that didn't know me or where I live.

Have you ever gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
by stuckinarut2 injust wondering if anyone has gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
(perhaps to an area far from your old khall where you know no one).
with all the changes from 2012 onwards (videos, tv screens, new meeting format, new songs etc) it would be an odd experience to be in attendance!.

Using Watchtowers Own Reasoning Against Them RE: The Governing Body
by pale.emperor insomething occurred to me today.
quite randomly as i was working away at my desk i remembered an illustration from the bible teach book in which satan claimed he knew better than jehovah about ruling mankind.
here's the illustration from chapter 11 of that book:.

More to your point like Live Forever book mentioned on why has God permitted wickedness and God "universal sovereignty" being challenged it mentioned that God has allowed mankind all these years to rule himself without God being involved to settle the issue. However that is a lie because he stepped in during Noah's time regarding the flood, during Nimrod's time during the tower of Babel and during Lot's time during the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah to name a few examples.

Just about anything by Taylor Caldwell! Though her books are not new. She was born in 1900 and died in 1985.
