If you won the Lottery big time, would you be happier?

how many of us imagine winning the big one, and all our problems in life would be solved.

we could get whatever we wanted without worrying about money, could buy our way out of almost any situation (like the rich folks do), go on any vacation anywhere in the world, dress to the nines on a daily basis, and use our wealth to get others to do our bidding.. money = sex, power, influence, decadent luxury = happiness???.

What movies make you think of the Borg?...

i was watching a great sci-fi movie the other day (chronicles of riddick) and there was a phrase in the movie that jumped out at me.

a soldier was being promoted and he said the phrase "obedience without question, loyalty till underverse comes".

i thought "wow, just replace underverse with armageddon and that sound just like the witnesses".

I dont know why they even waste precioius court time trying trash like this; spending time and money giving these animals a "fair trial" when they confess to involvement. It just goes to show you that the criminals have all the rights.

Seeking more education after high school; Back in the 80s you were practically marked for going to college. A lot of JWs lie and say that WTS doesn't encourage education and now I see younger JWs going to college now; I guess it is accepted now. I wonder if many JWs are now starting 401Ks but didn't back then.

You HAVE to wear a tie at every meeting (I tried not wearing one a time or two).

Forget having facial hair other than a mustache (can't be used in the cong if you have more facial hair than that) WTF?

NEVER NEVER NEVER be in the presence with someone of the opposite sex when nobody else is around- you know how uncontrolling our sexual urges are when you are alone with a sister. Whatever!

Only when it comes to people I have known for a while; however I do have to have people skills (reluctantly) since I am a department manager and have to deal with my staff and others at the office.
