Convention coming to a city near YOU...

it almost comes out as a promotional ad for the jw convention.

the 'current events' editing staff of this paper likely has no idea what their promoting.

Why not have them sanction gay weddings. Turning a place of worship into a house of commerce is condemned in the bible also but they make allowances for that with their debit/credit card machines in their worship centers. Overlapping generation equalling 1 generation isn't biblical either. Jesus was silent about homosexuality. Isn't he is the one to closely follow and not Paul (was was the one who condemned men being together in his letters)?

In looking at the definition of discrimination, I think the cartoon shows an element of bias toward heterosexuality, shows an element of bigotry, one-sidedness and demonstrates favoritism of straights over gays

I don't know if it is "homophobic" but it certainly dehumanizes a demographic and promotes bigotry and perpetuates a lie that gays have a choice.

according to the elder's rulebook, there is this addendum in the chapter on the grounds for judicial committee and the section: "misuse of addictive drugs":.

please note: the use of addictive drugs under medical supervision, such as for pain management, would not necessarily require judicial review.

when questions arise, consult with the branch office.. .

today spiegel online & bento have an article about the anti-gay video.. spiegel is one of the biggest and most serious news media in germany.. they also report and show that youtubers cut the video and changed it in a funny way.

sofia tells her mother that the teacher said it's fine if they live each other.

then sofia's mother says: "thats wonderful.".

It's rich seeing Doubtfully Yours judging gays as deviant and at the same time going to sites like this while being an active JW, but that's typical hippocritical and judgemental JW behavior.

New Spiritually Weak Label: Not Using Tablet/iPhone

with last night's meeting it became official: here in the states is a must to keep up with 'jehovah's org' that one fully jumps on board with this tablet/iphone crap.. so, now, all of us that up to this point have refused to follow the wtbts in their electronic/wireless revolution will deal with the browbeating from the 'spiritual' ones.. already receiving lots of grief from hubby and rest of the family/close friends when seen at the meetings with paper publications.
