What were your reasons for not liking the ministry school?

i dropped out years ago because i couldn't stand getting together with sisters i didn't like to do a talk.

i hated it with a passion!!

i do realize that you did learn but what i resented was that the sisters were inflicted on each other in a way that i don't think the brothers were.

i had done a talk on friendship based on the relationship between david and jonathon.

an old elder came up to me after that talk and said that it had moved him to tears.

although i now know that what i was saying was a load of cr*p, i do feel that the actual experience of getting up in front of an audience and speaking stood me in good stead when i left the truth and went to university.

i always got good marks for my presentation skills and i am not a natural public speaker. so i must have learned something.

everyone has their own idiosyncrises, mine is- .

when i get a new book, i'll open it up to the middle of the book and stick my nose in the binding for about ten seconds, and smell how the glue, ink, and fresh paper smell.

ahhhh i love that smell.

i always peel satsumas so that the skin is in the shape of an elephant's head

not like this. i peel mine in one piece. with a long trunk and two big ears. i'd say it resembles an african elephant more than an indian one.

How do the Kigdom Melodies compare to Christendom's Songs?

i just have to comment about the canned wtbts music on cd the local congregations play on $150 cd players through $20 speakers set in the foamboard ceilings at their sales meetings worship services.

what a joke the music is that they use to sing praises.

the lyrics remind me of a high school pep rally with all the emphasis on 'we're joe hoba's witnesses and yada-yada-yah preaching from door to door and from house to house' or 'life everlasting in the pair-o-dice' crap that just tickles the dubbies ears so much they get all pretty and pink.

i think that the control aspect of the dubs is encapsulated in the song,

let's watch how we walk and watch how we talk, etc.

my new "worldly" friends were gobsmacked when they heard the lyrics. but i guess i just sang along not realising what i was singing.

i also used to wonder about the kingdom melodies being divinely inspired. lots of them have the almost the same melodies of hymns that i have heard.
