  ...my gran, who has been a jw since the 1950's will be reproved publicly for speaking to her grand-daughter who is disfellowshipped.

  she is 77 years old and i am worried that it will be the death of her.

  the"truth" has been her life for nearly fifty years and she is still a regular publisher.. if she continues to commit this gross sin she will be disfellowshipped.. her daughter and son in law are to be disfellowshipped for the terrible sin of allowing their daughter to live under their roof since she left her husband.

  i will if i find out. she lives next door to an elder and i feel that i don't want to exascerbate her situation by going round.

  i will try and get some info though. my dad, who thankfully never got baptised will probably fill me in when he goes to see her.

  she practically brought me up (hence my becoming a witness) and i feel sick that i can't be there for her when she needs me. it could get her disfellowshipped i'm sure if i went round now.

  thanks to everyone for your kind support. i really am choked. you are the good guys.

  did they ATTEMPT to save you

  when you were before a judicial commitee for whatever reason...did they try to get you to see the error of your ways and thus save you from destruction at the big a...or were they just happy to let you die.. .

  i have a theory that goes like this...if you are sorry they think that you are not and df you...if you are not sorry they make an attempt to try and save you because its a kind of feather in their cap.. .

  i was sorry...so sorry i thought i deserved to be df...and said that i expected to be..and they later told me i said i wanted to be df...which i didnt..(i was a mental and emotional wreck on the night of the jc although i tried to portray otherwise)....but even if i had, surely they had some responsibiity to try and 'readjust' me.. .

  Parenting - strict or relaxed

  this was inspired by satanus' thread about how can people leave the truth when they've been raised in it.. i was raised in the truth, or as some say i was raised around the truth and made it my own when i was baptized.

  i know typical doublespeak from dubs.. which method of parenting will most likely result in your child being a stronger jw?

  a strict parent who enforces family study, meeting attendance regardless of health, regular service, constant spiritual talk inserted into daily life, having dub families over a lot and creating situations for regular association with dub kids of a similar age and not allowing association with school and neighborhood kids.

  she has attended all the meetings for the last 18 months and still is not reinstated

  their other daughter, a "faithful" sister is due to have her first baby next month. with her parents are both df'd, how will she cope?

  just thought i would share that with you all

  my dad who owns a busisness...was told he could not do any work for the local catholic church or school...( he had just gotten a big for them)...and he came to find out the elder that forced this issue..( to the co )...himself signed a contract to do all...the churches work...( two diffrent feilds of work they were not in comption with other) my dad has written a letter to the wtbs.....wonder if it will help...what do you think...donald

  everyone has their own idiosyncrises, mine is- .

  when i get a new book, i'll open it up to the middle of the book and stick my nose in the binding for about ten seconds, and smell how the glue, ink, and fresh paper smell.

  ahhhh i love that smell.
