  Did you experience favouritism at meetings?

  as former jw i did witness favouritism towards elders and circuit overseers and also noticed how low status j-dubs actually lined up to speak to the circuit/overseers wife.even outside association seemed to be confined to say elders associating with elders etc.

  i remember when even a sister gave a glass of water to a coughing circuit.overseer but i noticed she never did this to others in the hall.. then for instance how many at the hall formed groupies after meetings not making any effort to gell with others,i felt so sorry for those just sitting on there own.. so why do they act like this, it beats me because a lot of literature and talks focused on not being impartial to others,were they really taking it in or was it a question of congregation status or favouritism towards others.. also outside the meetings association didnt seem to exist and only confined to a certain favoured individuals.

  Glad to see you being positive on leaving the jw cult, but you are right about choosing ones according to there spiritual status.

  Think about it you have to baptised to hold the mike in the hall and pass it to those putting there hand up huh!!!!!

  Also a good point you mentioned is when you said favouritism is encouraged from those at the top, i totally agree.

  I just wish i had kept my ray lumley valve amps i had b4 they weighed 40kg each finished in solid blue marble.

  I totally agree again because i was 99% faithful to the watchtower i would never have copied anything,but i will admit i did have a copy of win98 but then bought the original version for 135.00 (im mad!!!)

  I just didnt want to be a hypocrite and lead a double life i thought whats the point in that.

  Although last year i was doing the attendance at the assembly and what i witnessed was horrifiying ill list what i witnessed

  1.No helping single mothers or assisting them with their kids.

  2.A women fell down concrete steps and no one bothered to assist.

  3.Women with kids coming in late and people just tutting.

  4.I saw one sister with family looking for seats due to coming in late and the only seats available were in the rain so guess what no one offered up there seats and the sister had to sit in the rain.

  5.Again another sister with 1 baby girl couldnt find seats so had to sit outside the assembly on concrete steps with baby crying and no one helped,and now due to finding out she is no longer in the jws and is now smoking,pregnant (father ran off ),and she left due to being totally disgusted by the lack ogf genuine christian love.

  6.You see the problem was the people were like robots just in absolute fixation on the public talks nothing else mattered,i mean nothing except listening and taking notes.

  I totally agree !!!!

  And its funny how at most times they claimed how they were so loving compared to other religions,i remember when i saw other people coming out of their churches and looked so much happier than jws.

  I still think about the ones who were left sitting on there own i felt really bad seeing them, i think a few even stopped going after a few ignoring sessions.

  Oh then theres the memorial now that takes the biscuit how everyone was on best behaviour at these occasions and talked to new visitors and ignored there rest.I also remember the tramps that used to come into the hall that was funny.

  I experienced exactly the same things regarding the computer side of things due to being a computer techinician and webpage designer,i did sell a lot of pcs to brothers though.

  I remember fixing or upgrading pcs for j-dubs and noticing them having copied versions of win 98 and even 2 weeks later an article in the magazines came out on pirated software and they sill didnt bother to buy an original version that was funny considering how much importanced they stressed on everything else.

  Then i remember how an elder made out i ripped him off,and i gave him a great deal and at one time i joked about the so called ripoff pc i sold him and he got really offended and said what you trying to say."I just laughed"

  I also remember chewing in the hall and then got grassed on for it by the same elder who said i ripped him off,then weeks later his 8yr old son gave a talk on how we should be obedient to those taking the lead and even mentioned about chewing in the hall,but guess what his son was counselled for applying material at the wrong thing,it was so funny and i looked at the elder after the talk and smiled he hated that and looked up in the air it was obvious he prepeared the talk for his son.After that we never got on with each other.

  strange thing to tell all of you,but i had to get it off my chest im hooked to coke (the original) i just cant seem to let a day go by and not have a can of cola and some choccy bars mmmmmmmmmmm, but i was thinkin its really bad for you isnt it to drink coca cola every day and choccy bars,.

  i bet all of you on here are addicted to something similar cmon confession time!!!.

  also whos knows about the harnful effects of coke i need to if it really bed for you then i may stop drinkin it!

  Although i heard people say to me why you wanna live forever, just because we live only for a short time it doesnt mean that i want to abuse my body,im into staying healthy(contradiction) and want look after my self and also want to slow the efects of aging down.

  I know theres worse things i could be addicted to, i mean isnt lager or any fizzy drink bad for you if the intake is not balanced,surely if say i just drink a can of coke every other day wont that be better.

  Also just because certain things effect us does it mean it will effect all of us the sameway,maybe im more resistant to coke than others,who knows?
